Nicolás Tagliafico on Argentina team: “On a scale of 1 to 10, I think we’re at a five”

Nicolás Tagliafico has spoken about the current state of the Argentina national team and the Finalissima match against Spain.

Tagliafico is with the Argentina national team in Spain training for their match against Angola on Friday. The 33 year old has played 33 matches with the Argentina national team, winning the World Cup, a Finalissima and two Copa America trophies. Speaking with Radio La Red, here is what he had to say:

“On a scale of 1 to 10, I think we’re at a five. Not too little, not too much.

“Today they’re a little more angry with us, but we also brought it on ourselves with our arrogance. As world champions, we have to prove ourselves. It’s good to be a little mischievous and earn their respect.”

The Argentine also spoke about the Finalissima match:

“I hope we get through the game against Spain, because they’re one of the best teams. It’s totally unrelated to what might happen in the World Cup; it’s just one game.

“The World Cup is something else, another incentive. Whether we beat Spain or lose to them, it doesn’t matter. But facing them does give you an idea of what level you’re at.”

Argentina could play France in March

The Argentina national team could play France in a friendly match in March.

Argentina might play against France next year. According to Fernando Czyz, if France qualify for the 2026 World Cup in their November double match day, they would be looking at opponents for March and Argentina could be one of those opponents.

Lionel Scaloni’s team is set to play Spain in the Finalissima in March. The last match between both teams was the 2022 World Cup final.

Franco Mastantuono visits Argentina national team

Franco Mastantuono has went to visit the Argentina national team while they train in Spain.

Mastantuono is injured and not called up to the Argentina national team for their match against Angola but the Argentine was present as they trained. According to Cope, Mastantuono joined the Argentina national team but will not be training or playing.

Lionel Scaloni’s team will play Angola in a friendly match on Friday.

Lionel Messi and Juan Foyth set to start for Argentina vs. Angola

Lionel Messi and Juan Foyth are set to start for Argentina against Angola.

Messi and Foyth will be starting Argentina’s friendly match. According to Gastón Edul, Mesai will be in Argentina’s starting eleven while Foyth will be the right back against Angola on Friday.

Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni did not call up Gonzalo Montiel while Nahuel Molina was called-up but will not be with the team as he did not complete in time the health procedures to the yellow fever vaccine. The Argentina national team will play Angola on Friday.

The Argentina national team are presently training in Spain.

Lionel Messi: “It’s a special World Cup”

Lionel Messi has spoken about the 2026 World Cup and playing with the Argentina national team.

Messi is presently with the Argentina national team training in Spain for their friendly match against Angola. The Argentine spoke in an interview with Sport where he commented on possibly returning to FC Barcelona. In the same interview, he spoke about possibly playing at the World Cup with Argentina. Here is what he had to say:

“It’s a special World Cup. Playing with the national team in important competitions is always special and even more after winning a World Cup.

“But as I told you, I don’t want to be a burden. I want to feel physically well, be sure that I can help the group and contribute things to the team.

“Our season here is different from Europe’s. We’ll have preseason in between, few matches before the World Cup and I’ll see day-by-day how I’m feeling physically, whether I’m in the condition I want to be in to participate.”
