Cuti Romero scored Tottenham Hotspur’s first goal of the season but was replaced after he gave Tottenham the 1-0 lead. A clash of heads prior to the goal with Mbeumo was the reason for his substitution.

It is presently 2-2 between both teams and there has been no update on Cristian Romero’s status.

The Argentina national team begin the 2026 World Cup qualifiers next month with matches against Ecuador and Bolivia.

Gerónimo Rulli was substituted out injured for Ajax in their 4-1 win vs. Heracles.

Rulli started the first match of the season for Ajax in the Eredivisie but was replaced after only 32 minutes. The 31 year old went out to catch a ball and colided with Heracles forward Juzz Hornkamp.

The Argentina national team play in the World Cup qualifiers next month and was likely going to be called up to the team. Argentina play Ecuador on September 7 in Buenos Aires.

Lionel Scaloni’s team will play a second match against Bolivia on September 12 away from home.

Leandro Paredes reportedly wants to join AS Roma despite receiving a bid from Galatasaray.

Paredes wants to return to AS Roma. According to Fabrizio Romano, the Argentine wants to rejoin his old club and that is his priority despite receiving a bid from Turkey.

Negotiations with his current club Paris Saint-Germain are advancing to get it done.

The 29 year old spent 2014-2015 on loan at AS Roma and a return there would unite him with Argentina national team and World Cup winning team mate Paulo Dybala who is also at the club.

Mundo Albiceleste was in attendance for the match and the press conference where Gerardo Martino spoke about Lionel Messi while also giving an update on Facundo Farías and Tomás Aviles.

Martino spoke at a press conference following Inter Miami’s 4-0 win vs. Charlotte in the Leagues Cup and the coach commented on Lionel Messi, who scored a goal in the win. Here is what he had to say:

“It is difficult to understand how a player can generate dangerous situations starting 40 or 50 meters away from the opponent’s goal.”

The Inter Miami coach also spoke about the two new Argentine signings:

Lionel Messi scored once more for Inter Miami in their 4-0 win vs. Charlotte as they reached the semi finals of the Leagues Cup.

Messi makes it eight goals in five matches with Inter Miami as he is the Leagues Cup top scorer. It took Messi 87 minutes before scoring his goal, a tap in from close range to make it 4-0 for Inter Miami.

He did the Spider Man celebration which follows his Thor and Black Panther celebrations.
