Thiago Almada free kick stunner, two goals, two assists, MLS record

Thiago Almada scored a stunning free kick as he finished the match with two goals and two assists for Atlanta United and an MLS record.

Almada is a World Cup winner with the Argentina national team and at only 21, has an MLS record to his name. The Argentine is the first player in MLS history with at least four goals and four assists in his club’s first four games of the season.

With Atlanta United leading 1-0 through a Thiago Almada assist, they were awarded a free kick and it was Almada who took it. A world class strike by the World Cup winner as he would score to give Atlanta United the 2-0 lead.

He would have a second assist on Atlanta United’s fourth goal of the match in the second half. At 4-1, he would receive the ball inside the penalty area, spin and his effort would find the back of the goal.

Julián Álvarez scores two, assists one in Manchester City win

Julián Álvarez scored two goals and assisted one for Manchester City in their 6-0 win vs. Burnley.

Álvarez started the match for Manchester City and did not disappoint. With the score at 0-0, the 23 year old played a pass in to Erling Haaland who would score to give City the 1-0 lead.

With City leading 3-0, it was a lovely passage of play and a pass to Julián Álvarez who scored from close range. But the Argentine was not done.,

The World Cup winner would score one of the, if not the best goal of the match. One on one with the defender, he would dribble beyond the defender, sitting him down, and a lovely left footed effort into the top corner of the goal for his second of the match.

In 15 matches as a starter for the club, he has 11 goals and four assists. With the win, Manchester City are now in the semi finals of the FA Cup.
