Marcelo Bielsa is unlikely to continue at Leeds United next season.

Bielsa became a fan favorite at the club after taking over in 2018. He has since coached the team from the Championship back into the Premier League. However, a string of poor results this season could see him not continuing next season or even the possibility of January.

According to Football Insider, Bielsa is not expected to be at the club next season. Leeds are close to relegation, sitting 16 in the table with 16 points, only three wins out of 18 matches.

Leandro Paredes in isolation for PSG as COVID precaution

Leandro Paredes is not in the PSG team for their match against Lorient as he is in isolation.

Paredes has been left out of the squad as precaution after Thilo Kehrer and Eric-Junior Dina Ebimbe tested positive for COVID19. The club announced that both men tested positive and Paredes is out as precaution.

Lionel Messi, Angel Di Maria and Mauro Icardi are all in the PSG team for Wednesday’s match.

Alejandro Papu Gomez scored for Sevilla in their 1-1 draw vs. FC Barcelona.

Papu Gomez scored his second goal of the season for Sevilla as he gave his team the 1-0 lead. It was a corner kick for Sevilla and a low pass into the penalty area found Gomez who hit the ball first time with his right foot and rolled it into the net.

Along with Papu Gomez, Lucas Ocampos would start the match.

Argentina fixtures confirmed for January, February World Cup qualifiers

The fixtures have been confirmed for the January and February World Cup qualifying matches as Argentina will play twice.

Argentina, who have already qualified for the 2022 World Cup, play two World Cup qualifying matches at the start of the new year. Lionel Scaloni’s team will play their first match of 2022 away against Chile on January 27 in Calama. The match in Calama would be in the desert at an elevation of 2,260 meters. The match will be at 9:15 pm local time.

The Copa America champions will play a second match on February 1 against Colombia but at home. While the official announcement has the match played in Buenos Aires, there are strong reports that will instead be played in Cordoba. That match will be at 8:30 pm local time.

Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni and River Plate coach Marcelo Gallardo are both nominated for the best coach in South America award.

The award is given by Uruguayan newspaper El País where there are two other Argentine coaches that have been nominated. Along with Scaloni and Gallardo, there’s Ecuadorian national team coach Gustavo Alfaro and Juan Pablo Vojvoda of Fortaleza that are among the eight nominees.

Lionel Scaloni won the Copa America as he coached Argentina to their first trophy in 28 years. In addition, his team is already qualified for the 2022 World Cup.

Marcelo Gallardo has won the award the last three years and would be the first coach to win it four years in a row. He won the Argentina Supercopa, the league and the Trofeo de Campeones with River Plate.
