Per reports by journalist Gaston Edul, the friendly match between Argentina and Puerto Rico, scheduled for Monday, has undergone a change of venue.

Originally planned to be played in Chicago, the match has been moved to Miami due to ongoing protests in the city that made hosting the event there unfeasible. Inter Miami’s Chase Stadium, home of Lionel Messi, has emerged as a possible new venue for the fixture.

This will be Argentina’s second friendly match in the United States, following their upcoming game on Friday against Venezuela at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens.

Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni has mentioned that he will try to see new players against Venezuela and Puerto Rico.

The Argentina national team will play Venezuela on October 10 in Miami and will plau Puerto Rico on October 14 in Chicago. Speaking to the media on Tuesday, here is what Scaloni had to say:

“We will try to see new players with these upcoming games, to see if they can get on board, as we say. We feel that every time there’s a match with this jersey, whether it’s an official competition or a friendly, it’s something unique.

“For us, there are never friendlies, not for the players either, and they know that very well. They’re in an important moment for what’s ahead, and they know there’s a lot at stake.”

José Manuel López could get some minutss for the Argentina national team.

The 24 year old could get some minutes for Argentina in their matches against Venezuela and Puerto Rico. According to Diego Monroig, he could make his debut in the two matches.

Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni had included José Manuel López in the team for the September World Cup qualifiers but he did not play in the matches.
