Joaquin CORREA hattrick for Sevilla, Angel CORREA, PIATTI goals

Three Argentine’s found their names on the scoresheet on Wednesday, including a hattrick by Joaquin CORREA.

Two CORREA’s (Joaquin and Angel) found the back of the net for their clubs while Ignacio PIATTI scored for the Montreal Impact. Joaquin CORREA scored a hattrick for Sevilla in their 5-1 win in the Copa del Rey against Formentera.

Angel CORREA scored Atletico’s 5th goal of the match in their 6-0 win against Guijuelo.

In what was an absolutely crazy match, Ignacio PIATTI scored for the Montreal Impact in their 5-2 loss (7-5 on aggregate) against Toronto FC in the Eastern Conference playoffs.

  2. Mascherano..Mascherano…how terribly his form went down!! Today he was even nutmegged by Ronaldo and just for a thin luck it didn’t lead to a goal!!     in juventus on left side…. i am following him from paleremo he is not rw or left winger he is second strikes SS and he played striker vazquez and dybala.. plated together… but he is not proper no 10… but he can do the job… because he can create many chances… look back his assists… some time he get the ball on rignt wing.. in juventus.. but not many time… when he played no 10 for argentina.. with messi they exchange their position.. it worked realy well.. when messi goes inside.. defenders eyes on him.. so dybala get the ball on right side he easily dribble.. come inside.. when messi is not there in next match he strugled in that position…

    1. dimaria- many time i said dimaria may be better than the perroti correa.. piatti but he is not good on lw.. his position is rw.. he did some wonderful job friendly vs germany 2014 after we lost the final.. he took that position.. and decide the match.. we won 4-2.. and again no messi he played against brazil WQ OUR HOME MATCH HE PUT THROUGH BALL to higuain and he cuts to levezzi and he finds the net..

    many of them blaming auguro dimaria… expecially the forward line.. they are best in the world… if they are not.. best club dont buy them for a too much money.. they played more games.. so they dont have lot of energy… they are getting older too.. they cant run like when they were 20.. form is temporary but class is permenant…
    some local league players not playing 60 games per year.. so they give more energy… thats why they runs more.. thats is coach decision .. and it depends what coach playing style… and formation… if we have five world class forward means.. dybala icardi higuian aguero messi dimaria .. they cant be play together… coach needs to find a proper formation… and use their best players.. but bauza never done before..

    barca played 5 defender with 5 attacker… hmmm a true.. but they have done with speed and wonder ful full backs who can defend as well see alba and alves.. and mache played center back not a midfielder. but we have same attack like barca but we dont have that midfield and defence.. but we have some quality players… why we want to play as barca… germany have some playing style.. and spain had too… but argentina have anything… nooooooo.. we dont have quality mid and defence.. but we have some quality players too.. we have to create new playing style.. that will help to the future as well…

    • Every where quality in this line up… But… What kind of formation is that… I don’t know… 3-3-1-3 I think…similar to biesla system he used 3-1-3-3… But this system will create some problems… Dybala not even rw…then why lw… And Perez will do the job some time act rb… Left side totally weak..piatti…. Not going to defend deep…otamendi have no pace… So pacy winger wil destroy this team on… Left side of your team…

        Dybala can play left side ..he proved it in juventus…if our all forward exchange there possition it will great line up…right now p.piyatti is the best left sides midfielder of Argentina..he can defence wel..he can be j,albea

        • dollon – too much attacker can win games if they have quality enough to play out the opponent completely. The successful Barca team is one of 5 best team in history of football. Why dreams Argentina play like Barca? I would rather like Argentina to play like Real Madrid, Chelsea or Juventus.

        • Dollon, every team that is successful has been good at defending. Including Barcelona. They just did not sit back and defend. Pep has (or at least had) a simple rule – if you lose the ball, you have to get it back within 6 seconds. This started with defending from the top. Everybody defended. They have to, else you will lose.

          Basically, if your opponent has the ball, attacking and has encroached near your penalty box, you will need at least 7 players to stop them from scoring. 7 players have to defend, 4 defenders and 3 other, remember, at least. Names of players do not matter, we have to defend and play for the team. You cannot have your 3 attackers chill when we lose the ball.

          Why we play so many defensive players? 2 reasons, in my mind

          1. Romero: He is so bad that you have reduce the number of shots on goal. Because he hardly saves anything shot at the goal. This means you bring the 4 defenders inside the penalty box. This brings the midfielders close to our penalty box. So you choose midfielders who are more comfortable and capable near their own penalty box than the oppositions. Hence Mascherano, Biglia, Banega, Perez etc. etc.

          2. Our coaches are not strong enough to make Messi, Aguero, Dimaria, Higuain defend. Cannot make them work hard when we lose the ball. So, fill up the midfield with defensive players who will compensate for that. Hence Mascherano, Biglia, Banega, Perez etc. etc.

  16. That was Correa game. Scored 3 and the 2 penalties goals were after fouls on him. So he was involved in every goal. He is one of most promising our LM/LF

    • We need player on left side who needs to hold the ball…and dribbler who pass the ball when team needs…. Lanzini…or Correa.. He should be a right foot player…. Like perroti…even…oscamps good… I saw him against juve… He have physical strength too… Good in the air… Some high pressure games… Long ball is the solution… That’s why I prefer icardi over higuain auguro…

      • I think he may be the most talent young player . He is only 20 but looks like a very mature player with extremely good dribbling skill and strong body . Ocampos ,Giovani simeone also promising too.

        Joaquin Correa Looks like Pastore ,He may be another Vazquez but he needs to build up his body and make himself stronger the better.

        Angel Correa ,i think he lacks of speed and power .He can not easily hold the ball ,also has a weaker body than ocampos and lucas boye. i think he will be a substitue in future national team.

        Racing’s Gustavo Bou performed very well in the last few matches ,better than Marcos acuna

        Finally River plate’s Ivan Rossi ,I like him alot .He will be a promising defensive midfield.
