Argentina coach Jorge SAMPAOLI was present at Independiente’s training session on Wednesday and will continue to visit different Argentine clubs.
With his European journey now done and dusted, the Argentina coach has turned his attention to the domestic league back home. SAMPAOLI confirmed a few days ago that he would apply the same style which he used while in Europe meeting the players. This means that SAMPAOLI will be attending different training sessions and speaking with coaches.
Wednesday’s attention was on Independiente and three players: Fabricio BUSTOS, Juan SANCHEZ MINO and Maximiliano MEZA.
There’s another club which SAMPAOLI will reportedly be visiting, that of River Plate. The coach will attend their training session to keep an eye out on Franco ARMANI and Enzo PEREZ. ARMANI’s case is a bit of an interesting one as there were very strong rumors at one point that the goalkeeper would attain Colombian citizenship and play for Jose PEKERMAN’s men.
The 31 year old impressed during his time with Atletico Nacional winning many titles (one of which was the 2016 Copa Libertadores).
As far as European based we already have an idea that who all will make it. Its more interesting to see new Players from Argentine clubs representing the National Team, Most probably there will be only 4 slots out of which Enzo is Sure shot, So as Bustos (We don’t have a right back option apart from Mercado, Salvio & Pavon i don’t think can contribute much defensively. Left Back we can utilize, Acuna, Rojo, Mori even Di Maria is good in Defending then There is Tagliafico(Gosh this name is hard)
I would like to See a Quality Midfielder from Argentine league, Pablo Perez, Belluschi, Nacho, Sanchez Mino whose versatile, Meza(Curious to see him play what he brings in??) Who will make it Gago & Beneditto is out of time i guess.
