With the Olympics postponed until next year, Argentina Olympic coach Fernando Batista was set to release a preliminary list of 50 players.
However, that list will now change. As we reported earlier, the IOC have confirmed the postponement of the games until no further than next year. A problem with the Olympics being delayed is that 17 of those 50 players would be over the age of 23 and would not be allowed to participate. Unless a change of rule was done, here would be 17 of the 50 players who wouldn’t be allowed to take part:
Goalkeepers:
Facundo Cambeses (Banfield)
Defenders:
Hernán De La Fuente (Vélez)
Facundo Nadalín (Newell’s)
Gonzalo Montiel (River)
Leonel Mosevich (Nacional – Portugal)
Marcos Senesi (Feyenoord – Netherlands)

Forwards:
Lautaro Martínez (Inter – Italy)
Ezequiel Ponce (Spartak Moscú – Russia)
Matías Vargas (Espanyol – Barcelona)
the real disappointing issue with this list is that none of the goalkeepers mentioned here are starters for their clubs actually some of them are also not considered in the bench
yes, the main issue is the GK name’s Put the above > 23 yrs as GK ; it will bring more balance
true atleast players like benitez and rulli cud be given a chance to stake claim as no.1 for senior NT by giving them a run in the olympics
