Lisandro Martínez had a Man of the Match performance for Argentina in their 2-1 win vs. Chile in the World Cup qualifiers.
Martínez started his first match for Argentina since the win vs. Bolivia at the Copa America and he was arguably the best player on the pitch. Still only 24 years old, he was creating attacks and starting plays from deep while defensively being solid.
The Argentine can also play as a defensive midfielder and has for Argentina. Here was his performance in the 2-1 win.

Lisandro – Romero combo is something to look forward to after the WC. Both are still young and have so much experience with our NT setup. They should keep us rock solid for years, We have so many good upcoming defenders in our ranks. One position we have in abundance.

You could also tell that Lisandro and Tagliafico play together for a while. Somehow it was in their body language and interactions.
Did I miss something, wasn’t said that ARG will receive the 3 points from the forfeited BRZ game? I hope FIFA doesn’t just ignore the decision since the ARG is inching closer to BRZ!
