  1. Good to play even if it is Estonia, though only wished that it would have been played in Estonia!
But, unfortunatly not as otherwise i’ve left with my both kids wearing KUN’s Arg Nt shirt and with rest of full and proper Arg gear on as NT shirt, Nt shorts and Nt socks too ! Bilbao and Basque Country is a wonderful place too and i’m even considering flying over there, but instead of 30 min flight it is an 4-5 hour flight and i think both of my kids are having football tournament’s of their own team as 5th june will be Sunday so even the temptation is more than crazy i would most propably go watch my kids play which is very important for me too as i do love Arg over anything as i do love my kids too so it is tuff one, maybe or maybe not as i know theese opportunities are rare as kind of once in life time thing at least for me and my family, but let’s see maybe Bilbao we will all go, perhaps?

  2. Friendly against Estonia much better than having nothing to play in June friendly after finallisimo, even Estonia isn’t a big European team but at least we can try the team with parking bus style opponents especially Estonia players is as big as Poland players instead of the hight so we can practice our defence on free kick against tall player, hopefully AFA can organise another Arab team to play against us as we can try the style of Arab teams play such as Egypt, Morocco, Algeria or the host Qatar for next friendly.

    • Something is better than nothing but having height without skill doesn’t matter much. Sweden one time was very tall squad bt Germany was far superior in set pieces and heading so skill with height that makes life difficult for defenders

  3. If Argentina wants to raise the prices of their players they have to win tournaments like Copa and World cup.Winnimg these tournaments raise their values in world football. After Copa De Paul, Montiel,C. Romero etc went to good European clubs.

  4. So an American winger joins Leeds for $25 million. And Julian Alvarez is $20. Our other players don’t even go for 5 mil. What the hell? I just don’t understand

  5. Need the friendly match to choose and form alternative players. The most important thing is training together and clarity among the team.

  6. Very happy to see another friendly added! I was worried we would only play 1 friendly next month, but this means I get to watch the team I love another time next month, and they get more practice together! One match against a tough opponent and an easy one, great! As a FAN of this team, I don’t have anything to complain about!!! And I hear they are working on adding a third friendly, so until anything is official I am going to remain patient, hopeful and not spread negativity for no reason
    🙂

Estonia is a good opportunity to give minutes to some of the sub options like Alvarez, as well as starting Cuti & Licha together for the first time. Expecting Enzo to be called up and debut here.

Btw I’m not sure if this was mentioned, but the fact that Paredes is injured and not included in the squad for Italy, he still prioritized traveling and training with NT over precious and rare vacation time. This is an example of why you have to love this team – PASSION.
This passion you will not find in any country in Europe, no matter how “advanced” and “high level” the football may be there (LOL)
They worship club football but exhale cold air for national team, while our players would die for this shirt.

    • Well said bro…. There is a passion for the team and the players are very close each other. When Cuti could play the last rounds of the qualifiers he traveled with the team as well. I hope that live, passion and solidarity help us win the WC….

  7. Great chance for sub players. I wish we use all sub players except Messi. Messi and 10 sub players. There will be no better opportunity than this to test substitute players.
    Two match..two different 10+Messi

    • Why just Messi ? The season is over. If scaloni want to use that game only for the sub players so Messi dont need to play. He is 35 now ! Time to use him smarter !
Let him go in holidays in peace, take a break, have FINALY a good preparation with his team to be at the top physicaly and mentaly for the World Cup ! This is the priority. Not to watch him play a boring game against Estonia.

  8. just off topic.i see a documentery video from balon youtube where showed how inter had won treble.in 2010 miliao and zenetti won treble with inter milan and how they hadn’t selected for wc team.every previous Argentine coach so biased when it matter of wc selection. But i reckon scaloni is different. Since scaloni got the job in every single game there was rumour who start the match and scaloni every time surprised. Looks like scaloni is intelligent guy.he’s big test will italy.against european and Against a top class manager.

    • But he still not selected Enzo. We need to be flexible so that opponent coaches can’t make a proper game plan against us. Im sure in big matches our front 3 will be completely shut down by their tactics thats where we will need a scoring midfielder or a scoring defender. Europe is ahead not because they are more talented. They are ahead because they are master in gameplans shutting down opponents goal threat and finding the weakness in opponent defense. It will be tough no doubt. Let’s see how scaloni manages it.

  9. We need to face someone who is much lower in ranking, europeans, and park the bus. So I hope that’s Estonia because most low ranking Europeans will play that way when facing Argentina. Argentina never practiced against park the bus team as none of the 9 South American countries play that way.

Other news: Cuti and Licha train normally. The only one who is still not able to train normally is Leo Paredes. So we will see our strongest team for sure with Cuti starting.

  10. Estonia is no contest. The problem is the Nations League. Top European teams hardly have time in their schedules to play friendlies.

      • if we are playing morocco then we are covering for any african or saudi arabia playing style. it is almost impossible for us to be drawn with any team with a playing characteristics of japan, korea or iran. for a point is reference though brazil is playing with japan and south korea.but remember that brazil has not played with any european side since 2018.

  11. Diego Carlos has joined Aston villa, hope seville sign licha or senesi as replacement, btw Aston villa are building team capable to challenge top 4 , sorry to say epl will be most compatative league in the world therefore we must change this narrative that our players are not suited epl, that has to change if our players want to reach thier full potential, big respect cuti, lanzini, emi martinez, emi Buendia, Alexis MacAllister and those who succeed in the epl before.

    • Premier League is not suitable for mediocre players. Whoever failed there most probably mediocre. Tevez, Aguero, zabaleta etc succeed there. Even dimaria was relatively successful with 3 goals and 10 assists in a dysfunctional manu

      • many great players loses their potential because of the physical nature of EPL. crespo was great in serie a but average in EPL. was crespo an mediocre player ? coutinho was super successful with liverpool but a total failure with barcelona. players have their strong points and playing style suitable to each type of league and players should go to leagues that compliment their playing style.

    • EPL is not suitable to reach full potential. i have rarely seen any forward or central/attacking midfielder that have improved a lot due to EPl rather have seen their downward journeys due to injuries. but EPL is fantastic if you are a goalkeeper, defender or winger.

      • KDB and Mo Salah. May be include Sadio Mane too. Its not easy to make a statement like that. All these attacking players developed in EPL.

EPL is changing mainly due to Pep, Klopp, Conte, Tuchel etc. Its no longer the kick and run football. Yes it is still physical.

        • EPL is head and shoulder ahead other leagues now. A key player from Sevilla, a champions league team, Carlos is willing to move to rank 11th of EPL Aston Villa. That says a lot. You will not see the opposite, for example a key player of Liverpool or Chelsea willing to move to rank 11th or 12th of La Liga.

          • it has to do with money rather than the strength of team. sevilla team will beat aston villa 8 out of 10 times but laliga is going through financial downturn and will bounce back. for me the EPL teams that playing great soccer are the teams qualified for european leagues. so if team from any other league is playing a european league they will face the best of EPL and with great referee standards.

        • both salah and mane are wingers. though agree with KDB but he is an exception rather than a rule. great managers are also there in other leagues as well. for me serie A ,liganos and LaLiga are good leagues to develop your game. then once you a finished product then can move to EPL.

  12. What the hell. Estonia is ranked 110.other than match practice this match will yield nothing. They even ranked lower than Bolivia. Atleast try to organize another friendly with Morocco or something like that

  13. Good. Need worst teams before world cup to up the confidence. No need another Spain spanking like in 2018 which destroyed team’s confidence.

    • This is the perfect time to test yourself. Its only june and wc is in November wc squad is also not announced. If you fail here thats good you will know the weaknesses. And you can still try some new players in September friendlies. Spain match was too late. Like if we play tough team in September and gets exposed we may not have time to rectify the weaknesses or integrate any new player. Unluckily without chiesa and immobile Italy is much weaker attacking wise. So we have to face weakened euro champions rather than a strong Italy side
