Martínez scored for Argentina in the 3-0 win vs. Honduras. The Argentine continues to do well and score for the Argentina national team.
He has scored 21 goals for the Argentina national team and is the undisputed starter. Speaking in an interview with TyC Sports, here is what he had to say:
“We got back together after a long time to continue doing what we have been showing and we “want to keep doing it. It was a very tough game, they were very physical and hit a lot but the important thing was to do the things we had planned and I think it worked out for us. We were fair winners.”
The Argentine also spoke about the World Cup:
“There is less and less time left for the World Cup. The truth is that I am very happy and we hope to continue like this.”
