Lionel Messi arrives to Abu Dhabi, joins Argentina national team

Lionel Messi has arrived to Abu Dhabi and joined the Argentina national team.

Messi is in the United Arab Emirates and is with the Argentina national team for the 2022 World Cup. Messi joined the team early Monday morning along with Ángel Di María and Leandro Paredes.

Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni has 12 players with him. The first one to land was Franco Armani, as he flew from Argentina to the United Arab Emirates with Scaloni, the Argentina national team coaching staff, AFA president Chiqui Tapia and Argentina U20 goalkeeper Federico Gomes Gerth.

Germán Pezzella and Guido Rodríguez of Real Betis were the next two players to join the team. Cristian Cuti Romero of Tottenham joined them on Saturday morning.

Rodrigo De Paul, Nahuel Molina, Cristian Cuti Romero, Juan Foyth, Gerónimo Rulli and Julián Álvarez joined them on Sunday evening. Here are the players presently with the team:

Franco Armani, Germán Pezzella, Guido Rodríguez, Cristian Cuti Romero, Rodrigo De Paul, Nahuel Molina, Juan Foyth, Gerónimo Rulli, Julián Álvarez, Lionel Messi, Ángel Di María and Leandro Paredes.

Argentina will hold in open training on Monday in Abu Dhabi.
