Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni speaks on Lionel Messi, Paulo Dybala

Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni spoke at a press conference on Thursday about Lionel Messi and Paulo Dybala.

Lionel Scaloni and Alexis Mac Allister were both at the press conference on Thursday and Scaloni had commented on Rodrigo De Paul’s fitness after Wednesday’s training. Speaking at the press conference, here is what Scaloni had to say about the the Netherlands man marking Lionel Messi:

“The individual marking to Messi? We will see tomorrow what happens on the pitch. We are used to our opponents coming up with something different. We don’t want to go to forgone conclusions. Even we can implement some changes in the technical side.”

Scaloni was also asked about Paulo Dybala not playing:

“He didn’t play because I didn’t see the moment to play him. He is well, he can be part of the starting XI but in the matches we have played, we haven’t had the chance to field him.”

  1. If Lautaro is fit, which according to some news channel he is not, then he should have a role to play in the starting XI with strict instruction to play a pressing game. He was excellent against Italy. He was also good against Saudi Arabia. It was unfortunate that his valid goal got cancelled. He is more opportunistic than Alvarez but Alzarez plays the pressing game, which he doesn’t. Scaloni, anyway, would take some bizarre decision to surprise us all like fielding Papu against Australia. The team has not been able to create much chances in this tournament. Someone would be needed in today’s game beside Messi to convert half chances.

    With all this written i can more than easily agree, though as the one’s against Palestine or Oppressor’s have not changed a single bit since the Oppression on Palestine started as i’m not an Arab as i’m not Argentine, in fact i think of myself and others too as citizens of the whole world, never Mind your heritage or where u grew up etc…nor i’m not Christian or Muslim or Hindu or even Buddhist, though i belive in Buddha’s teachings as i do belive that every religion or tribe in the world has more less the very same good teachings about life in general as obviously when religion’s were created in the first place they were not called or thought as religions like they were turned in to afterwards as i think they all were just the basic and the base for theese very same good teachings as we can find out in all the religions or old teachings as everyone has right to think of them as they want to either as religions or, maybe just teachings from the past, which Still are more than usefull and should be practised more and more correctly in proper way etc…

    As i have nothing against any religion, but with the actual name as religion lies a danger which we have all seen used for totally other purposes, which have nothing to do with theese sacred teachings from all over the world as some native tribe’s for example Still are using their old and ancient and very sacred too ceremonies and beliefs on this very present day, but the world we know does not call these tribe’s as religions or religious as the very opposite they at least once were named as Pagan’s and i belive some are Still assosiating them at this very present day with Pagan’s or Shamanism or what so ever they please to create a word by themself’s to name others etc…

    As with very basic common Sense of humand mine it is very easy to see which are good things to practice and which are not…etc…

    But, in the world we are living all this common Sense somehow just does not work as easy as it should as infact the very opposite as everything is tied down to a big web CONFUSION as obviously using different words and naming different things by those who have had the power to do so in the past and also in the present, so in the end one will end up with chaos instead of Inner balance and unable too see things as they should be seen as obviously they are not or not even close to what things really suppose to look like as those who have had access to power in the past and in the present have messed and created everything to chaos and CONFUSION as using different tools for this as history has been written in the past or how media been used today or creating religions from good teachings by changing them with way or another to what we or the majority more or less might Still know as present day or call as religion’s as there is Still nothing wrong with any religions or any tribal beliefs or what so ever goid teaching or practice we are talking about, but with the word or words as religions and different religion’s, though in the end or should i rather say in the beginning they all had the very same common good teachings more or less as it is obvious what those teachings are really about and why they been created in the first place…etc…Still it may not work for everybody necessarily in this way anymore as those religions have been teached in that way more or less that there is only one religion and only that religion can be right and blah, blah and blah, lol !

    Offcourse many and most propably most of world citizen’s know that religions have been used by those in the power as in the past and also now in the present as exuses for to have right to do or act all kind of crazy stuff as war for example with the permission of the religion as the supporter at the back…etc…as those in the power as in the past and now as in the present have use and had used also other techniques as such as written history, nowdays media or PRS, which is actually very old technique created by those who want to controll and gain more Power as P standing for PROBLEM and R standing for REACTION and S standing for SOLUTION, but theese are just few basic examples how the world in the past and in the present has been and Still is at the very present controlled by those who have the real power in this world and who have became a very long time ago like junkees of power so as junkee will need his daily fix to live for the very next fix so has it worked and is Still working for those who have became junkees of power and need their daily fix of power to live for the very next fix of their power, which they have been and are Still seeking as this is the very same with obviously as money and basicly one can associate this to everything, but one must really think which is Ok and good to seek for and which is obviously not, as in nowdays world obviously with money or since money was created or let’s say value for different items were created as they could use those different values of different items or goods as a bargain and start to separeted those who had a lot of those different items and goods with value from those who did not have access to them or maybe had one’s, but that right was taken from them the way or another either by stealing or mostly by killing..,etc…so in today’s world or in the present world it is not or may not be so easy for one to think and figure out which are good things to do and which are not as everything is tied down to a big web of chaos and CONFUSION the way or another as everything is connected with good and bad more less as offcourse there are those who are Still practising like they were teached from the very beginning and have or tried to stay away from all this chaos and CONFUSION even it is hard for them as obviously money involded with everything more or less, so again nothing against religion or those being or called as religious as i think of myself more as beliver and want to also belive and have belief on things that are important to me as equal rights and acces for everyone to pure water and to food also and having acces to shelter where one can stay in peace with himself and most importantly others too as the whole world should have access to theese things that i do belive in as main basic’s to everyone in this world, but as know things are far from that as they have been for i don’t honestly know for how long as maybe they alkways been so ?

    But, that does not matter now at the present as world or those having the real power could easily at least for GOD’s sake(exuse my language) to at least to try , but instead the world were we are all living at the present keep’s on going to completly another direction, though obviously the media not speaking about it in that way as media been controlled more or less by those having the real power and those as rebels against this as DIEGO was and many others too were and Still are just don’t get enough credit for their good doings and are more or less swallowed by the bigger fishes as one could maybe call all this just as evolution of humankind, but as far as things and bad things are done purpously over others for gaining more power and controll for those who seek for it and have allways seek for it, well at least for me there is no single bit of evolution in that as for me it reprents the very, very opposite !

    Ok now one might argue me as why do i care about football or why do i support Arg and only Arg, so actually for me Arg has been allways amongst those teams against the oppressors and obviously the way of football played in Arg is another reason as also the time that i was borned to this present world gave me one of my many preccious gifts that life has given for me as being able to watch Arg since 1978 til’ today, but, the more older i grew up i also understood that it was not only about football as Arg truly been rebelling against such a oppressors in world football and also in life as general, too, at least since 1966 alkready, as i think even before that, though Arg has it’s own history like every other country has and i can only speak about my own country’s or from the country’s history where i and my family from both sides were borned at as the people of my country are very old and their tribe’s too like obviously even more older everywhere else, but i also realised that i had become or became allready from very young age as junkie of Arg’s football, which i realised when i grew up more older etc…

    though in my oppinion Africa for me is considered the motherland, but as people spreadded all over over every Continent such a long time ago and therefore i have mutual kind of respect for all the tribe’s of the world, though some may had been more violent than others and may had seek for more power to gain over more land and space for their tribe’s as some may had been even conquerring others and wining out others as all this is pretty obvious more or less, but try to put all theese tribal war’s in same gategory that forexample let’s say from the time’s Conquistadores til now or once religion was turned in to a weapon to conquer others etc…at least for me theese 2 can’t be realky compared even it is more less about conquerring others ir wiping them down ground and to demolish them etc…Still at tribal level the amount of this conquerring is so much down from the level of example Conquistadores, though there been other big and great civilations way before European one’s and more than obviously this same conquerring mentality has also existed amongst those, maybe not allways, but quite offtenly amongst those who been the rulers etc…

    well since i was born i could see this obbression basicly everywhere whether it was in the news or whether it existed there where i lived or went/travelked to etc…as i fell in love with football through my own dad and granddad or with family or with those who were the closest as friends and who we did care about or who cared about us, though sadly i sometimes or quite often also think of those who might not have or had any of theese things available as who were borned in middle of war or as orphans without their real family for a reason or another as i can’t even think never ever of every possible scenario for this as i can only say and feel sorry for those who have had to live through such a extremities in their life’s as for, maybe those who were borned in middle of war or without water and food not close them as daily basis might not think of this as an extremity at all as they might be used to theese things more or less as they had no other choice than to adapt to whatever the circumstances were as everyone has done so the way or another no matter the circumstances or even that were forced to as others obviously forced to, so obviously i can’t really speak about this subject as for respect towards others and only from my point of view at very young age or later on as age does not matter when i think of such a scenarios that i can’t even never ever imagine or be able to think of etc…only it make’s me feel sorrow and saddness for those who were not given right for freedom as i do not consider myself as one given freedom even i was borned in Europe as quite opposite i grew up by rebelling and gaining knowledge of what the Europeans had done in the past for others around the world and what was going on at back then as pretty much the same old same old story as today, lol!

    but offcourse i understood that it was not the majority as more or less just the minority, but as minority had the power to do as they pleased and therefore dragged as many as possible together with them to conquer the world as most of Europeans have done so , but not necessarily all as of offcourse i learned about other conquerors from different continents of the world and quickly understood that others gaining more power were more or less copying each others tactics to be able to do so as obviously also constantly creating and developping new techniques and strategises to gain more power etc…as most of us have learned from past history and while studying this the very same time thing just kept on hapoening as it is hapoening at this very present moment and will keep on happening until the world as United and together hopefully one day will say enough is enough and end all poverty and all evil and will have be able to give equal rights and justice for all to at least to have acces to pure water and food and shelter and peace to every human being or any being and animal’s, plants for this whole planet earth ! Anyhow again i’m waiting badly for my next fix as junkie, which is obviously the game against Netherlands and hopefully Arg will, though it won’t change anything for me personally as only by the victory i will get my next fix obviously more sooner than Arg(hopefully not!) loosing, though i know alkready whether the result i won’t go to rehab or change my way of beliving in Arg, though my fix could be a better one obviously if Arg winning and the very viceversus if not…, but Still no rehab over Arg, no, never ever i will change my belief on Arg to something else as simply not possible for me as an loss i can have obviously accepted with bitter sweet taste in mouth more than i can remember as i like to remember more those positive things from every Arg Nt LA SELECCION our beloved Albiceleste that i have been more than lucky to see during my life as only winning twice the WC, but as we know our great opponent Netherlands home of total football has never won WC, so offcourse 1990 and 2014 are the one’s which should had been Arg’s, but i also enjoyed so many other ARGnt teams as well, maybe not the 2002 team, but Still i could not abandon them either as once a junkie i at least will alkways be a junkie of Arg Nt and Arg football and i can see my ”good ” of being a supporter of Arg allready passing to my kids as it was once passed to me through my dad etc..,so i can only hope after i no longer exist in this world, hopefully this kind of thing as bit like small tradition will continue as long as Arg Nt and Arg football will as i also support Arg obviously in other sports too etc…and more than anything as country of Arg i do have a huge amount of respect for all those living in there, whether where ever their origin’s may come from also obviously i respect all those who also support Arg from different parts of world, never matter religion or origin or heritage ir what so ever as i only like think of everyone as more or less as citizens of this whole world, which Still has quite much a work to do to at least acomplish pure water, food, shelter and peace with equal rights and justice for all and everyone !

      Confusion and chaos always benefits small pockets and groups of people, who are usually in power.
      Oppression is everywhere. But if we speak of one, we must speak of all. If we criticize Qatar then we should critique others who commit crimes. If Germany wants to cover their mouths now, maybe they should have thought of covering or uncovering when it comes to their own racisims within and outside their country.

        Yes, actually in Europe at least more or less since founding EU Germany and France has been those sitting on the pole position as in Formula 1 race, Ok England were there too, but obviously with disgareement’s (more than one)+all the things behind the scenes they took their chances with Brexit etc…

  3. Not giving any minutes to Dybala is not a good decision from Scaloni. One sports site talked about Lautaro being in some injury. Dybala could have been the replacement for Alvarez in the last match instead of Lautaro.

  4. LVG always used the information he has to prepare multilevel plans of attack and defense. How do you beat him? Give him new information on the day of the match to deal with… I won’t be surprised to see something new from Scaloni..

        All it takes is several obvious observations

        1) Scaloni literally just said “…. he can be part of the starting XI ….”. Any reasonable or sane person assume Messi starting so Dybala with Alvarez, or Toro (2 9s) or with ADM.

        2) Scaloni already played Dybala and Messi together, and it was some of the most beautiful, aggressive attacking modern football that I have seen in the past five years.

        3) pressing pressing pressing. the idea that Dybala doesn’t press I have no clue where it comes from but it’s repeated ad nauseum ..it’s almost like people just repeating the same thing over and over to the end of eternity without actually ever watching him play. Don’t get me wrong, Dybala doesn’t press like Alvarez … he’s not a pressing machine but he does the job for the system if he’s asked to.

    I don’t want to speak politics but I must mention for those who dont understand Argentine culture….
    For those of us bad mouthing the world cup and Qatar… Maybe you should watch Argentine news. Our fans there are having the time of their life, many being invited into homes and mosques.
    We are not Germany or England, Denmark etc.
    Our captain wears a feed the children or save the children arm band.
    We respect the place we travel to, and in turn our hosts are very hospitable to us.
    Argentina is a place where many Arab refugees have relocated to over the last 50 years. So for you to speak against qatar is speaking against a small population of Argentina.
    Argentina has always stood with Palestine and people’s who are oppressed. Maradona never stood with the oppressors. Rip.

    • It’s important to separate judgements of the “average person” vs “governments” and most governments on the planet are subject to and should be barraged with non stop criticism.

      Personally, I’m always on the side of the working class and i’m vehemently against all forms of prejudice – racism, bigotry, xenophobia, classism, etc.
      Whenever i see the labor class getting exploited and treated like trash like Qatar taking away passports, setting up labor camps with poor living conditions, essentially treating workers like modern slaves (+ 15,000 dead workers), ill be the 1st to criticize. I’ll say the same about the atrocities committed against palestinian, uyghur, or any other insane genocidal acts.
      Or whenever i see any form prejudice, i’ll also be the 1st to speak up because it’s the antithesis of human progress. There simply is NO justification for it, i don’t care what background they many have, prejudism has no place in a modern society.

      But as you say, argentina fans celebrating and being invited into homes and mosques… that’s a beautiful and wonderful aspect of humanity. I do believe most people on the planet have good intentions and more in common with one another than what Governments and Media make us believe about each other. At the end of the day, the average person wants to have a healthy life, eat and celebrate with friends and live a good life.
      Again, any critique i have is mostly towards the government and powerful domestic private and religious institutions, and not towards the the average person, well at least for the most part 🙂

        As the the average person, or person’s just wants to have a healthy life, eat and celebrate with friends and live a good life.

        Yes, exactly this should be the real base of humanity and all life on this planet should be based on this, rather than money and more than Dodgy goverments who are just ruled by those who posess the real wealth and riches of this world we are all living it !

        • @ricky-villa, it is common sense but there’s a way to go until the planet also see it as common sense and behave accordingly. With the top powers applying hard pressure and creating conflict amongst us, it sometimes feels like an impossible battle but we have to remain hopeful. Vamos!
