The Argentina national team list for the October World Cup qualifying matches will be announced this week.

Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni will be announcing his latest Argentina team this week as their first game will take place on October 12 vs. Paraguay. The team will play a second game on October 17 against Peru.

Lionel Scaloni be able to count on Marcos Acuña as he had missed the September World Cup qualifying games against Ecuador and Bolivia due to injury. Scaloni will not be able to count on Lisandro Martinez as he is injured and does require surgery.

Lionel Messi’s fitness remains a worry but as reported, the aim is for him to be able to get some minutes with Inter Miami during their match vs. Cincinnati on Saturday which would be the last match before the international break.

    • If I am not mistaken Inter Miami has only 4 games left this year unless they make the playoffs. Is a long vacation on the horizon for Messi?

    • > dimaria Alvarez and lauturo up from together

me too. each providing something unique.

Also want to see pacey attacking trio Garnacho – Alvarez – Di Maria

  1. Italian coach thinking about calling soule. For me soule is better then facundo and scaloni should called him up also give game time so Italian won’t try again.

    • Soule is an absolute beast, both in attack and defense. The kid runs all day long, creates tons of chances, dribbles past most players at will and works like crazy defensively. Honestly if (and that’s a big IF) he continues like that he’ll be as good as Dimaria someday so if Argentina losses him to Italy it will be nothing short a disaster and in any case he deserves to be called up for November so I really hope Scaloni gives him a few minutes and caps him.

  2. I want Scaloni & staff to continue without King Leo for the next matches. Winning 3-0 in La Paz is not an easy fit to achieve we should continue on that path. Messi has already stated that he thinks Copa America will be his last dance. Despite his form in the America, Leo struggled with pace and to shake off his markers against Ecuador, an attribute which made him the best ever. Realistically, he’ll not make the next World Cup at 39.
So I prefer to see the staff building for post Messi era learn to be winners without hiim. That’s why I was very happy with the victory in Bolivia because it was a sign that the other players are playing with the responsibility of being World champions. Just thinking ahead loud.
