Ángel Di María had a Man of the Match performance in his final match for Argentina in the 2024 Copa America final.

Di María played his final match with the Argentina national team in the 2024 Copa America final against Colombia on Sunday. It puts an end to a truly stellar career where he had won and scored in the 2021 Copa America final, the 2022 Finalissima and the 2022 World Cup final.

With the Argentina national team, in addition to the World Cup trophy, two Copa’s America and the Finalissima, Ángel Di María also won the U20 World Cup and an Olympic gold medal.

I am very happy again due to Argentina winning the copa for the record 16th time.
But also sad for Di Maria retiring. It feels empty. I have kind of watched his entire international career – From his win in 2008 Olympics win to 2024 Copa win.

What a player! Legend!
I wish he stayed a little longer.
I hope at least Messi stays till next world cup.
