Alexis Mac Allister spoke about Argentina’s 3-0 win against Algeria at the World Cup and Lionel Messi.
Mac Allister started for Argentina in their 3-0 win against Algeria and was part of Lionel Messi’s second goal. Speaking to the media after the match, here is what Mac Allister had to say:
“It was what we expected, necessary. In the last World Cup, we didn’t start in the best way but we ended up winning it. Today, we were able to start by winning.
“We knew they were very good, we never underestimated them.
“While there were some injuries, we had time to improve and arrive in the best possible way. Hopefully it will be a great World Cup.”
He also spoke about Lionel Messi, who scored three goals:
“There are no longer words to describe him. Today, it’s clear that Leo is the most important of all. We tried to build a team so that he feels comfortable.”

Keep calm guys….(even though my heart skipped 3 beats when Algeria scored that one which was later offside. *gulp*). No outpouring of praises or proclamations or overconfidence or constructive pessimism. Just keep doing what we’ve been doing all the way……
He improved a lot during the game. And finished at hot form. Liverpool fans might be surprised seeing him again like this. Good for us.
But Paredes needs to be back to full fitness. Barco and Paredes also should find minutes to gain confidence. Palacios too should find some minutes, may be against Jordan and RDP should get a full match rest.
