Lionel Messi becomes joint all time leading goal scorer at World Cup

Lionel Messi is now the joint all time leading goal scorer at the World Cup.

Messi had three goals for the Argentina in their 3-0 win against Algeria at the World Cup. Those three goals brought him to 16 all time, tied with Miroslav Klose.

The 38 year old had one goal at the 2006 World Cup, four goals in 2014, one in 2018 and seven goals in 2022 when Argentina won the World Cup. He needs one more goal to break the record.

  1. Good first game, ARG tends to play better as the competition goes on, too bad for the haters who expected a tie, a LOSS or at the very least a hard-fought game but what they didn’t expect is the OLD MAN putting 3 beyond the legend’s son while he was watching LOL
Watching the Austria/ Jordan game and my Jordanian brothers are definitely not afraid to attack

    • Group top position must be settled by Austria game.
Jordan game is for Core players to get 90 minutes rest. I hope.

  2. Not feeling confident with both Almada and Nico. They are utility players. But i don’t want them starting.

Lo celso, Barco or Nico Paz should start. I hope it works that way.

Glad that all 3 (Enzo, RDP & Mc) midfielders are in good form for us. Next match also should be won without drama and Midfielders along with Messi should get a full match rest.
If all works out and guaranteed group rank 1, that Will be good match for Tagliafico & Paredes to come in as starters. Barco, also can prove his worth if not given chance in the 2nd match.

Montiel in the squad, i still feel is a big mistake. I am now worried most about the RB scene.
Also not trying play/lack if wingers.

    • The only time they netted the ball they did through a big gap on the right. Then Montiel improved his game. But I agree, Nico (both the Nicos) and Almada were not up to the mark. I wish Tagliafico returns next match and Barco replaces Almada in the starting XI.
