Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni has named his starting eleven for the match against Egypt and Lionel Messi starts.

Lionel Scaloni has made a few changes to the starting eleven which started Argentina’s 3-2 win against Cabo Verde. Here is the starting eleven:

Emiliano Martínez; Molina, Romero, Lisandro Martínez, Tagliafico; De Paul, Paredes, Enzo, Mac Allister; Messi and Julián Álvarez

  1. Scaloni is giving too much respect to Egypt like they are France by using 4-4-2 formation. Just play with three attackers to kill the game early and qualify, Egypt is mediocre team, and they are no where close to the level of Morocco. He should have played with Messi, Alvarez and Nico Paz upfront to win the game.

  2. Need Alvarez back to his pressing form and I hope Enzo gets a more “up-the-pitch” role which helped him score more this season. Paredes and DePaul can take up the more defensive roles with their not-so-defensive through passes to build the attacks. Molina remains the weakest link in the team and, may be, just may be, Palacios could have been given the right full back slot.
