1. Many members of this forum have zero knowledge about football ⚽..they think that they have more knowledge about scolani..he is a coach who has coached since 2018..then after we won many title.
   Reaching again wc semifinal is not a luck.. where is luck before 2018.you can win one match by luck..not all..please accept true Argentina won all matches with good performance..all team played same intensity..some time works some time not works..please credit give to team & coaching staff too.
   Some people write cowardice.shame on this..we won the last three matches with bravery..

   • Yes managing FC teams and calling Scaloni names to have their 2 mins glory. Let the team go out in group stage once, the fan following fat will reduce.

2. Sampaoli had adopted the same coward strategy in 2018 world cup by relying on 2014 squad (tired legs) and faced difficulty and embarrassment in each match and ultimately failed. Scaloni is following the same rigid and coward strategy by relying on 2022 squad but fortunately luck is winning. Scaloni had 4 years but he intentionally didn’t adjust young talent into the team. Messi, as a captain, is also involved with Scaloni in relying on tired legs, fatigue players, friends like Rodrigo Depaul, Macalister etc. France changed its 90% playing eleven and squad as compared to last world cup but Argentina has 90% same eleven.

   • This time reach in top four…it’s is not a luck of time…please belive in system.manybteam dint qualify for knock out stage..we defeated all team with good courage..Austria , Algeria, jordan then in knok out stage . Egypt, capo verde not a easy opponent.

3. Some guys here always crib, I doubt if they are true Albicilestes. There issues in the play yes offcourse. But these are WC KO matches what else is expected other than hard, small margin matches. As some one truly said u cannot come to defemd a cup keeping the champions home! If some one has kept his boots or injured – otherwise not, not Argentina at least! Its nice and less pressure to support a team like France, but u dont become a fan on that merit I guess. Some one said Scaloni is headless to have 5 forwards on the pitch. No! He wants any of his forwards to click n gain some confidense n mojo back. He perfectly knows he’d gonna need that in next match or second.
   The team looked slow to respond in defense and Emi has been bad from close ranges, that has been the most worrying sign. But then, who else do we have! Otamendi has been given mins already if he shifts to 3 CBs. KOs are not a space to try Senesi, replace Dibu with Musso or bring major changes to your starting mids. They may not have the legs as it seems to us but they have the head (pun intended!).

   I see more positives though. Both forwards got goals, Lautaro has 2 goals n assists now, Paredes has another good match, Almada looked better as a sub and other tid bits. Messi was heavily guarded and looked tired. Also 3 intense – 120, 90, 120 min matches in 10 days would take a toll on his body. However is it only me who thinks ARG is conserving as much as it can for the toughest match (or 2) in such heat. They are a bunch of lazy b**ds, they know they cannot compete alone on sheer pace n skill alone, they of depend on moments of magic from some where, set pieces and opened up gaps at the late hours in counter.

   Thats the plan I think, it works fine – otherwise we have already come far enough in defending the cup and gave up it fighting till last inch is what the narrative is. So chill, have fun and take pride in the win. We die another day, a fan from late 90s, 2000s would know what even this means I hope. Its not about beautiful football its about keep breathing n taking your chances.

   • I for one do think the same way that they are conserving. I think they expected the games to be this way from the start except the Egypt one where they got a bit rattled when we were 2-0 down. Those last 15 mins they pulled what they’re truly capable of and put too much energy but want to keep it unless it’s absolutely necessary. That’s the capability our coaching team is aware of, that’s what they see in them and hence keep with same starting XI, as ofcourse they are closer to it than we are and see the potential of this team.

     Folks here need to think twice before commenting about Scaloni and coaching staff. Coaching staff is also a team so it’s not 1 opinion, they know what they’re doing so trust them and support the team.

     Stylish football hasn’t brought any trophies. Teams have won with five or six goal leads but are watching WC at home now.

     From what I see – this team has adapted to the conditions and brought results no matter what. Other teams are also having difficult days in knockouts with their star players.

   • Not sure whether we’re “conserving” or we have reached the potential of this squad. But I really agree with the last sentiment. I will always root for Argentina to win, but we also need to appreciate what we have achieved. We have played like defending world champion, and the players and the coaching staffs’effort need to be recognized and praised. There used to be a thing call “WC curse” where the last champion get grouped in the next WC Edition, the trend has only been broken in 2022 by a super stacked France team. It’s not easy to always compete like this group is doing right now.

   • Also we won 12 back to back matches. And we scored highest in this world cup till the round ended.

     • Highest score is only due to Messi magic and brilliance. Zero creativity from other players

       • Messi is part of team. Not outsider. The plan is around him.

   • Good learners always compare themselves with good performers like France, Spain etc who added young and fresh legs into the squad. They are playing beautiful football by attacking on and pressing the opponent. But Argentina is adopting totally adverse and very risky tactics by deep defending (considering 1 goal lead is enough). When opponent takes lead then players wake up and start attacking. Luck is favoring. Actually aged and fatigue players didn’t have stamina to press and attack for longer time. They know they would get tired soon, that’s why they try to pass as much time as they can without running hard. Is it called positive and proactive approach?

4. One of the major problem is Scaloni blind trust on midfielders .However two main players Enzo fernandez and Rodrigo de Paul is totally out of form for the whole tournament. But Scaloni doesn’t have the courage to drop those two players .
   Another one is hesitate to make substitute, before the Swiss 1st goal there is need for substitution But he completely ignored the situation and conceded.
   He need to be bold and drop Enzo fernandez and Rodrigo de Paul for the semifinal against England and start Nico Gonzalez and Lo celso or Nicolas Paz

5. Is he saying his target only semifinal? It is time to replace all those midfielders. Barco, Paz, LoCelso in, Flaco starter. Nothing to lose right Mr Scaloni? If they go through final then its another historic achievement 😀

6. Scaloni is very rigid manager. Not proactive. In Last world cup final, he didn’t start substitutions timely and let france to come back into the match. Today, again he was not substituting tired old legs and let Swiss to come back into the match.

7. This guy is a disgrace. We’re winning despite him. How can you start De Paul and Molina? They’ve been horrible. For the next game, we should switch to a back five. I felt relieved when Otamendi came on because the defense looked much more solid. Scaloni must change the lineup for the next game.

   • And subbing in Almada today again, despite repeated awful performances, instead of Paz or Lo Celso who did well the one chance they got. It is insanity.

     He has also ignored the entire season last season. Ignored that some players have moved out of competitive leagues to retirement leagues. That some players like Molina and Almada were benchwarmers for their clubs. Others like Mac Allister and Enzo who were out of form. He has no Plan B.

     Today he haphazardly put in 5 forwards, and Argentina still could not get make any meaningful inroads or crosses into the box. It is complete bonkers, Saved by a miracle goal by Alvarez today. Saved by miracle cross from Lautaro last game.

     • He never learn from his mistake. We made the same mistake in 22 final and we nearly lost it. At this point, he will not change it.

8. I’m so excited for this England match. I think England has struggled also. I can’t wait for this game. It’s going to be crazy. Even if England scores against us first, I can’t see our guys giving up. They have so much grit.

   • This is the attitude of this team. When score early then only defends but once trailing this team becomes monster otherwise being 02 down in 79 minutes in knockout is not for weak mentality team. Messi crazy run against Egypt showed how he is an eager to win so I’m positively hoping to win against England. Only one South American team left in tournament till this stage proving Argentina is a worthy champions 2022. Argentina matches are real roller coaster of emotions and football madness

   We need the after trouble performances BEFORE THE TROUBLE the scared shitless in repeat is the problem , we only wake up after they score

10. Besides our underwhelming performance, confessions of Scaloni is becoming repetitive too. Same “difficult match”, “we didn’t play well” etc. etc.

    • “We did not play well” is new. He could not even admit that after Cape Verde and Egypt.
