Lionel Messi has commented after Argentina’s World Cup final loss.
Messi did not speak to the media after Argentina’s 1-0 loss against Spain in the World Cup final. The 39 year old left the stadium with the Argentina national team and did not talk to the media. The Argentine posted on his Instagram page about Argentina’s loss in the final. Here is what he posted:
“The pain is hurts a lot and it will take time for this wound to heal. But I also take with me all of the good things… The matches where we turned it around giving everything we had and that will remain forever in my memory, with the support of an entire country, that, together, with the work and effort of this group, led us to once more being among the best in the world. Today, it’s hard to appreciate what we did but this group made two consecutive World Cup finals.
“Thank you very much from the heart for every greeting and for every message. Once again, we managed to unite as a country and be all together, sharing the immense pride of being Argentine.
“I also want to congratulate Spain on their championship.”
Scaloni can continue but I think he needs to rethink his roster. We have so much talent present that say on the bench this time.
I love Leo, and he is still the best in the world but purely for the development of younger players he needs to retire.
We don’t need anyone. Lionel Scaloni is our coach and he should lead us in 2030 World Cup. We believe in him and hope he learned from yesterday’s experience.
It was not just one game blunder. Like some noted, we lost this world cup since 2023 when Scaloni was lazy to integrate strong young talent into the team or even trusting them by giving them prime time in friendlies. The failure was a series of accumulated events of extreme loyalty to the winning squad and extreme distrust in any young talent with potential. He can’t continue because his ideology does not match modern football and hurdles of major tournaments like world cup in which bench depth and young fresh legs are a must.
Ffs who needs enemies like Tim Vickey a Brazilian Agent or ex English players or Spanish media when we have some of fam like here. So pathetic and ungrateful. Remind you all Argentina didn’t win shit for 28 years until Scaloni came . So many decisions he could not taken even though he wanted to take coz of so many reasons. It’s pathetic. Anyway hopefully useless Tapia can change his mind on September meeting and hopefully we don’t change our coach just coz some people feelings got hurt. I only wish Scaloni ask for change no more greedy money game. I can see good future for us and I am sure he will stay and we will rebuild. We have some exciting wide players and only this coaching team can make this team even better. How can you not guys see how we play with Messi and how we play without him? Argentina played very poorly in the final. Criticizing it is the right thing to do. Real fans will ask for the team to do better, not look the other way. If mistakes and errors are forgotten instead of acknowledged and learned from, there will be no better future.

I’m sorry mate i don’t know what you been watching or reading but he always downplays Argentine talent. Messi and Maradona is too big to downplay. You hardly see anyone who does not like them even secretly they admire them too. When I said enemy i didn’t literally meant like enemy what i meant people like them who hype up Brazilian bellow per average players to western media which we don’t have anyone ! If you see his videos I followed last 8 years he had hardly anything to say about us good but when it comes to our worse time which was few in last 8 years he gave it all! So you tell me. Just the scenario if Scaloni is tired of his job if we a=have to change then it should be AIMAR or Samuel and Placente taking the assistant job but changing the whole coaching panel will be an absolute disaster….If Argentina goes for shitty Simeone then it will be Sampaoli type disaster
