  1. I am just relishing the rage this news is causing some people in Argentina (and in this community).

Best of luck Kiki. Wish you great success. Skin tone is irrelevant. Character and style of football – La Nuestra – that is what makes you an Argentine footballer. Many in the Argentine football community and national team have forgotten what made Argentine football special and beloved by a billion people worldwide. Time to bring it back.

    • My friend, we are all here because of our love for Argentina. We should never relish rage. Some people are so ignorant and should just not open their mouth sometimes but it seems we are just destined to suffer on this earth. It will all pass, one day for us all. Let’s just enjoy the moments (and may plenty come for Stephen “Kiki” Ramos) and block out the noise from others.

Coincidentally, I read an article the other day by a writer for The New York Times Magazine and in it he said that he had a 2nd by chance meeting with a same Messi fan that he had crossed paths with earlier in the WC, after the Switzerland game, and the Messi fan said to him:
“We have a saying in Argentina; If you are not suffering, you are not really Argentine.”

      We can suffer together 🙏🏼

  2. This kid looks promising. Wishing him all the best. Wingers continue to be important, but I think elite midfield dominance is still the primary factor to a team’s success overall. Still, having a world class, tricky winger can help a lot. We missed Di Maria type of player this WC.

I hope Carrizo also develops well at Ajax.

  3. I can see the NEWS FLASH right now:
Without stating the obvious, whether he succeeds or crashes out, the imbeciles will have both scenarios covered to continue their agenda and I hate using that word and the clueless will follow.

  4. Hopefully, he will have a great career with Argentina. It is too early to say anything as of now, but all the best to him. Whoever can perform for us and give 100% should be selected, even if they are young.

We are in dire need of more width on the field. Scaloni did try to address this problem, which everyone knew existed, by attempting to pull off a Di María vs. France-type move against Spain as well. The only problem was that Nico was not Di María. Anyway, what happened has happened. We cannot do anything about it other than keep hurting again and again until the next World Cup. This loss will continue to hurt us.

Meanwhile, I can see shades of Di María in Prestianni. He looks like a tricky and unpredictable player, not as straightforward as Garnacho or Simeone. From now on, we need more creative midfielders and wide players in the team, with the creative responsibility shared among multiple players. We cannot simply expect Paz, Lo Celso, or even Dybala to replace Messi and pull off a Messi-like moment out of nowhere.

  5. Still no news on Messi’s next step
My honest analysis of Lionel Messi
First of all, he is the greatest player in the history of world football
Sorry, El diego sorry pele the way this 39 year old man played in this word cup, that too 120 minutes of three gruisome k/o matches
Such a breed is different from a normal human being. I always call him the demigod
I still believe he can play for 2 more years till Copa America 28 and even more BUT i really hope he pave his way now for Nico paz and co. Demigod had had enough; he had nothing left to prove. I belive messi should play the role of super sub from now on, and trust mee he will be the greatest sub player of all time. He can impact matches in seconds.
So it’s up to Leo what he decides, but I want him to continue playing as an impact player.

    • Yeah, I’d be really keen to see what he could do in that role and if he could prolong his career even longer by doing that and still be a killer on the field when subbed on.

      • I remember after 2022 world cup many were saying that Messi should become super sub and here he was at the age of 39, top scorer for argentina in world cup :). Anyways Messi is just Messi he will play till the time he enjoys playing football. He had outdone himself every now and then. Im ok with whatever he decides but somewhere within I feel like if we could see a bit more of Messi magic with Albiceleste.

        • I would take this Messi to the World Cup any time of the day and twice in the weekend. But, it will be hard for him to keep it like this for 4 more years. Let’s be realistic.

  6. Our Black Diamond…..Hope he never faces racist comments from mundo community if he plays a game bad in future

  7. “Montoro is too slow. I don’t think he will be successful at world stage, unless he significantly improves his pace and speed.”

Iniesta or Pedri isnt faster neither. Riquelme even slower.

    • Maybe Montoro needs to transition to a regista, deep lying playmaker type because an old school 10 a la Riquelme is nearly extinct species these days…

    • Perhaps I haven’t watched him enough but I noticed Montoro was not only slow in pace but also in decision making. He slowed the game without break-through passes.

  8. Lad is a talent!! but a player’s development happens in club, hopefully a european club signs him soon

    • Mid table clubs will be perfect for him . Not Real madrid or Barcelona who ruined Mastatuano and was about to ruin Paz.

  9. Not questioning anything. Dont get me wrong guys. Just curious how a Haitian is eligible to play for Argentina ? I am out of the loop..

    • Where you born doesn’t matter…he was adopted by an Argentine family at the age of 9 months…when Haiti faced big disaster…
He is Argentine..since his first year …

  10. Is this lad a winger? Most European teams are only so good because they have incredible wingers and most of them are black players. Argentina would’ve won many more wc if we had more black players like others European teams and Brazil

    • Left winger . Plays similar to Di maria . Have high expectations in him.
I hope none of us will show racism to him.

    • Imagine Argentina creative center midfielders and Ecuador/Colombia style of pacey wingers, it would be an unbeatable team.

  11. As a Black man, I really welcome this and I hope he succeeds as a player and plays for the senior national team.
