Diego Maradona’s Argentina shirt at the 1986 World Cup vs. England has sold for a record amount at an auction.

Maradona continues to break records. Sotherby’s have reported that the shirt Diego Maradona wore at the 1986 World Cup vs. England has sold for an auction record of £7,142,500 or $9,284,536. It is the most ever for a sports memorabilia item.

It was that game where Maradona scored the Hand of God and the Goal of the Century for Argentina.

    Poor Pelé as it must have been very hard and difficult games against prisoners, actors, etc…LOL! That is such a good one @Rattlehead as when i read your post i allmost died at laughing and Still can’t stop laughing…Pelé seems to be kind of X-boxer who has taken such heavy hits on his head that FIFA decided to make him the icon and role model for the global football as Reagan was acting president with dear Nancy with his side and in the meanwhile Bush and his family were pulling the strings…Pelé such an epic parody…
