Valentín Barco from Argentina was named the best player of the COTIF tournament 2022, following the 4-0 win in the final vs. Uruguay. The 18-year-old left-back, who has already played a couple of matches for Boca Juniors’ first team, was one of the many young Argentines that stood out in L’Alcudia.
After receiving the award, “el colo” posted the following on his Instagram account:
“Proud to be champion defending the colors of my country with this group of players who left their lives in every match behind a dream. I am very happy to have been chosen as the best player of the tournament. Dreams are to be fulfilled. Thanks for the support. Let’s go national team!”
This is interesting. Aude and Carboni are both left back and are both highly rated too. But for next year WC u20, it is not likely to take all 3 left backs. One of them must be sacrificed. Who then?

He needs a couple of seasons for Boca’s first team, with hopefully plenty of minutes. Then can move to Sporting, Porto or Benfica.
