Lisandro Martínez plans return for late October or early November

Per reports by journalist Gastón Edul, Lisandro Martínez is working on his recovery with the aim of returning to action between late October and early November. Manchester United have decided not to rush the Argentine defender back, focusing instead on ensuring he is fully fit and able to regain continuity ahead of the 2026 World Cup.

Martínez has been sidelined since February, when he suffered a serious left knee ligament injury during a Premier League match against Crystal Palace. The setback required surgery and was expected to keep him out for around eight months.

The 27-year-old has been an important figure for both Manchester United and the Argentina national team, and his planned return will be closely followed by Lionel Scaloni and his staff as they prepare for the next World Cup.
