Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni is set to play a midfield four against Algeria.
Lionel Scaloni will play Facundo Medina on the left side of the back line, Cristian Romero and Lisandro Martínez as the two center backs with four players in midfield. According to Gastón Edul, Scaloni will play Rodrigo De Paul, Enzo Fernández, Alexis Mac Allister and Thiago Almada.

Would have loved to see Nico Paz in place of Almada. Almada would struggle against the heavy built Algerians. We remember what Cameroon did to our players including Maradona.
What are you? A 7 year old kid or a 70 year old racist boomer? Why wouldn’t Almada be able to compete against those “heavy build Algerians”? Are there only 1 type of Algerians (Arabs), and only 1 type of Cameroonians (blacks)? Is Ibrahim Maza who plays alongside Palacios in the midfield of Leverkusen a heavy build Algerian? Or, the Ait Noory guy playing for Man City is another heavy built Algerian guy? Or, Riad Mahrez is another example of your hevy build Algerian?
Almada plays in La Liga where he plays against Arabs and Blacks every week. He seems to be able to compete against them without losing his limbs no? A professional football players is able to compete against all players from all races and ethnicity.
Let’s be honest, there’s only two kinds of Africans. Those who represent their respective nations in Africa, and those that are complicit in their exploitation by countries like France, Spain, and Germany for their footballing ambitions. I know it sounds like I’m kidding, but it’s actually incredibly sad. Imagine how incredible these African countries would be if their players actually played for their country.
That’s actually not completely true. For example, Mbappe is only half black(sub Saharan African) and half Algerian(which is north African or brown). Many of these French players are actually “half breeds”. And there have been studies that suggest that “half-breeds”, formed by intermixing diverse genes, are often physically stronger or better than “pure-breeds”.
Time for Almada to step up. This must be his only chance. He doesn’t deserve starting spot ahead of many. But i hope he won’t disappoint.
Almada does not deserved first team..
What is wrong with people here.. the extreme hate for Almada is insane. He has been the best player for argentina in the last one year. He should be one of the first names in the team sheet. If he doesn’t play well then he will be replaced but the hate he is getting is absolutely crazy
