  1. Who’s playing right back? Montiel or Molina?
Starting as 4-4-2 / 4-4-1-1 isnt a bad idea. With the way smaller teams are surprising bigger teams, going France’s approach of safe play in first half to feel out of the opponent and then switching to a more attacking approach in the second half might not be the worst idea. France looked dead until Olise went into centre.

  2. Almada is an amazing player.
Stats can go to hell, but anyone who understands football will know that Almada is a very impactful player. He is a skillful and very direct kind of player. A team needs those kind of players. He is a good finisher too. That said, I would also want to see about half an hour of Nico Paz. And I don’t want to see Messi play full 90 minutes at such an early stage.
Of course nobody can replace Di Maria. He was a gem among gems.

  3. Would have loved to see Nico Paz in place of Almada. Almada would struggle against the heavy built Algerians. We remember what Cameroon did to our players including Maradona.

    • What are you? A 7 year old kid or a 70 year old racist boomer? Why wouldn’t Almada be able to compete against those “heavy build Algerians”? Are there only 1 type of Algerians (Arabs), and only 1 type of Cameroonians (blacks)? Is Ibrahim Maza who plays alongside Palacios in the midfield of Leverkusen a heavy build Algerian? Or, the Ait Noory guy playing for Man City is another heavy built Algerian guy? Or, Riad Mahrez is another example of your hevy build Algerian?

Almada plays in La Liga where he plays against Arabs and Blacks every week. He seems to be able to compete against them without losing his limbs no? A professional football players is able to compete against all players from all races and ethnicity.

      • Let’s be honest, there’s only two kinds of Africans. Those who represent their respective nations in Africa, and those that are complicit in their exploitation by countries like France, Spain, and Germany for their footballing ambitions. I know it sounds like I’m kidding, but it’s actually incredibly sad. Imagine how incredible these African countries would be if their players actually played for their country.

        • That’s actually not completely true. For example, Mbappe is only half black(sub Saharan African) and half Algerian(which is north African or brown). Many of these French players are actually “half breeds”. And there have been studies that suggest that “half-breeds”, formed by intermixing diverse genes, are often physically stronger or better than “pure-breeds”.

        • If we’re going to question France because many players have African roots, then we should apply the same standard everywhere. Argentina’s population is overwhelmingly of European descent, and many of its football legends come from immigrant backgrounds. Football success isn’t about ancestry—it’s about talent, development, and opportunity.

Spain/Italy would have won multiple WC, if Messi choose Spain/Italy over Argentina

          • Argentina is actually very mixed. One can definitely see some native-American features in many Argentine players. And the European part of Argentina is very mixed too – there is Italian, Spanish and other nations in the mix too.

          • But San Isidro does have a point. These black and half-breed French players are not exactly mainstream French yet. Many of them have relatively recent immigrant parents. That is not the case with Argentina where people representing the team come from the mainstream Argentines who have been living there for centuries.

          • Are you fucking kidding me? You’re comparing Messi to a guy like Doue who’s own brother plays for Ivory Coast or Mbappe who basically left Nigeria for a shoe deal France wrangled up for him? Or Lamine Yamal who’s parents are straight off the boat from Morocco? Yeah, if you go far back enough we are all from “somewhere”, but these are kids being exploited because of football. Your enabling of this exploitation is seriously grotesque.

  4. Time for Almada to step up. This must be his only chance. He doesn’t deserve starting spot ahead of many. But i hope he won’t disappoint.

    • What is wrong with people here.. the extreme hate for Almada is insane. He has been the best player for argentina in the last one year. He should be one of the first names in the team sheet. If he doesn’t play well then he will be replaced but the hate he is getting is absolutely crazy
