Nicolás González could start for Argentina against Egypt at the World Cup.
González did not start for Argentina in their 3-2 win against Cabo Verde but was substituted into the match. According to Diego Monroig, the Argentine has chances to start for Argentina against Egypt in place of either Alexis Mac Allister or Enzo Fernández.
Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni is also expected to make three changes to the starting eleven as Leandro Paredes could be starting in place of Thiago Almada.

Could have should have might do
All pointless
No poit discussing who has been left behind and not part of 26 member squad guys … as correctly said that ship has way past. Lets focus our energy on what what we have at hand and what can be done with that.
VAMOS!!!
4-3-3 then . Looks fine to me. Mac alister will be a sub. But pls dont use almada as a sub again. He is nowhere near the form he used to have before.
I defended Almada here many time, but he’s not been the same. Nico Gonzalez when he came on, brought verticality, speed, dribbling, some sense of urgency. If you remember, he took on 3 Cabo Verde players, dribbled past 2 of them and the third one put out for a corner kick from which Cuti scored.
Almada’s performance has been a source of disappointment, particularly given the high expectations I held for him in this World Cup. He has not yet met those expectations. Similarly, I believe Nico Gonzalez’s strengths lie in situations with open space or counter-attacking opportunities, rather than against teams employing a low block defense.
I wish more inform players like Buendia or Soule were there so they could be picked in this role, but sadly that ship has already sailed.
At least he will definitely be a better attacking player that Almada. Speed and adventure on the wing are sorely needed in this team, as a well as a target man for Messi to cross in from the right.
Buendia should have been given chances in the last friendlies at list like Giay
