  1. This is electrifying, looks more like a battle field than a football pitch, compared to the snoozefest of a semifinal yesterday.

Simeone is such a hustler he tries and tries, its an even game till now, with fouls flying here and there. Unpredictable.

  2. Both teams playing pretty poor. After seeing so far, I wonder if Spain players are on drugs. How could they run so much to create space and to press to recover the ball? Most of our players are happy walking and passing the ball back. Is it Messi effect?

  3. Messi giving the ball away so many times. So many English counterattacks (including Lisandro’s yellow card) starting with him.

Come one Leo. If you do not bring it this game, those idiotic criticisms like “Messi would not hack it in the EPL” will resurface.

  4. Scaloni had the balls to drop De Paul. I like the change in theory. Cholito should be able to do what De Paul’s better version has done in the past, at least in terms of relentless running, pressing, tracking back, helping Messi and Molina. Hoping the Atletico connection and chemistry between Simeone and Molina pays off too.

    Vamos Argentina carajo!

  5. Definitely a better replacement for de paul and who can provide the speed..Cannot change the team too much – considering many of them have just started scoring goals..The substitutions is going to be the difference – just like Almada against Swiss..

Midfield needs to control the game from start to finish…..

  6. England has 4 super duper midfielders with morgan rogers also in….this mid will control the game…sorry to say England are way more superior….I hope we don’t face a humiliation like Brazil’s 2014

  7. This is a positive change. RDP has not only been slow but also sloppy, lost a lot of possession and offered nothing in defense or attack. With Simeone we will have pace , threat from wings and someone who can trackback and defend! Hopefully England won’t be able to string multiple passes together & enforce wave after wave of attack unlike our last three encounters! Additionally, we have to score first!! English defense is vulnerable than ours and have conceded equal number of goals like us.

    • Right on, brother. Since Saka has not been playing, England are more of a threat on the left side with Gordon. Like you pointed out, Simeone can help the team a lot offensively and help Molina with Gordon. I like the move.
