8

A happy new year to everyone as 2021 will hopefully bring Argentina at least one trophy!

With a difficult 2020 behind us, I would like to wish everyone a very happy new year and may 2021 bring you everything you want, which hopefully includes Argentina lifting the Copa America.

Mundo Albiceleste will be celebrating 15 years, an incredible achievement which would not have been possible without you, the community. Together, we have been through several heartbreaks but a few celebrations as well. There may be some slight changes coming to Mundo in the next few weeks to months.

There’s been some suggestions regarding the comments section and that will likely be changed. Regarding the content of the website, everything that is being covered will continue to be covered but more detailed and an emphasis more on the local league and the Copa Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana tournaments.

This year, along with the 2021 Copa America, we will also have the World Cup qualifiers, the 2021 Olympic games and the U20 Sudamericana beginning early this year. All of which we will be posting news and any information regarding both competitions.

Once more, a big happy new year to everyone!

Rodrigo de Paul is reportedly being targeted by Juventus and could be signing for them next month.

De Paul has been linked with several clubs the past few months with the latest being the reigning Serie A champions. Per a report by Corriere dello Sport, Juventus have turned their attention to the Argentine after initially looking at a few other players.

Per the report, Udinese would ask for a fee of around €40 million for de Paul. With the price potentially being slightly too much for Juventus, they may offer players in exchange. Should he join Juventus, he would be playing alongside fellow Argentine Paulo Dybala, which could benefit the Argentina national team.

One of the other teams interested in signing the 26 year old is Inter but the price once more could be an issue. He’s scored three goals this season with three assists in 15 matches.
