Manuel LANZINI could make a return for West Ham when they play Fulham.

The Argentina has been injured since the start of June after suffering a ruptured anterior knee ligament during training. West Ham coach Manuel PELLEGRINI had this to say on Wednesday in regards to the injuries of his players and more specifically, LANZINI:

“He is coming back from a long injury so we will decide the best way for him to return to the team. He is a player who gives you different things, he is very fast and a very technical player.”

“All four playmakers in our squad were injured, which is always difficult, so the return of [LANZINI and NASRI] injects more quality into the squad.”

Rogelio FUNES MORI reportedly wants to play for the Mexican national team.

A report by TyC Sports states that the Argentine born forward, currently with Monterrey, will present documents to FIFA in order to be eligible to play for Mexico. His twin brother Ramiro currently plays with the Argentina team.

The forward played with the Argentina U20 team back in 2011 at the Sudamericano. But he never represented the senior team.

Mexico is coached by former Argentina national team manager Gerardo “Tata” MARTINO and it was MARTINO who gave Ramiro his debut with Argentina. It would be possible that he does the same with his brother but with Mexico.

Argentine Eduardo BERIZZO has been named as the new coach of Paraguay.

The former Argentina man was named as the new coach of Paraguay on Monday following rumors that he would be named as the new manager. BERIZZO has previously managed Estudiantes de la Plata, O’Higgins, Celta, Sevilla and Athletic Bilbao.

He managed to win the Primera in Chile as well as the Supercopa de Chile during his entire managerial career.

Angel DI MARIA has not been called-up to the Argentina team since the 2018 FIFA World Cup and he’s given his thoughts on it.

Speaking in an interview with ESPN, the PSG midfielder has stated that at times he’s been told he looked nervous while playing. Here’s what he had to say:

“It’s been three call-ups where I haven’t been included and I’ve felt it a lot. I watched the matches and it hurts not being there. My wife told me that it was noticeable that, while playing, I was nervous. They are things that only those who wear the shirt know how to live with.”

The big clash this week in the Champions League comes in Spain where an Argentine jewel will look to eliminate Diego SIMEONE’s men.

Five Argentine players will be taking part in this week’s Champions League matches. Lionel MESSI, Angel CORREA, Paulo DYBALA, Sergio AGUERO and Nicolas OTAMENDI. Beginning on Tuesday, Lionel MESSI will travel to France as FC Barcelona are against Lyon.

Wednesday has the rest of the Argentine players. Angel CORREA and Diego SIMEONE host Paulo DYBALA. That’s the heavyweight clash of the day.

The other match on Wednesday is Schalke against Manchester City. The reigning league champions will look to make it far and win this year’s tournament. Sergio AGUERO and Nicolas OTAMENDI will look to make sure that it happens beginning with a win against Schalke.
