The Argentina man did not miss a beat as Marcos ROJO was Marcos ROJO. Playing in his first match for the senior side this season, ROJO started in his team’s 2-2 draw against Arsenal and took part in more than one goal.

Manchester United were awarded a free kick and it was ROJO who took it. His shot was stopped by the goalkeeper but United scored on the rebound. However, ROJO was at fault for Arsenal’s second goal as it was given as an own goal.

Angel DI MARIA spoke to the media about his intentions to come back to the Argentina team, Lionel MESSI and the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Speaking to Fox Sports, DI MAROA stated that he would like to return to the Argentima team. Here’s what he had to say:

“I spoke to SCALONI and I told him I want to come back and play for the Argentina national team. I try to do my best for my club to be there. I will never say no to the Argentina shirt that is so important and something so big for a player.

“A lot of people want new players to be brought in. It makes me happy that the new kids that are coming to the Argentina team are happy. That is good for Argentina.”

The PSG man also said that he thinks Lionel MESSI will come back to the team.

“MESSI is the first one to suffer and hit his head against the wall when we get eliminated. I think he will come back.”

In regards to the 2018 FIFA World Cup, DI MARIA mentioned that coach Jorge SAMPAOLI did not make things easy on the team.

“Everything started badly, we barely got to the World Cup, nearly out. We tried to do our best but a team isn’t safe when you don’t have the same starting 11 that is repeated constantly, which was the case previously. SAMPAOLI liked to change and that complicated things for us a lot.”

With us now being in December, it’s been a tumultuous year for the Argentina team. We’ve had two different coaches, what feels like a million different goalkeepers, a World Cup, players retiring and much more.

However, 24 goals have been scored this year by the Argentina squad and seven of them came before the 2018 FIFA World Cup. A 2-0 win against Italy, a disastrous 6-1 loss against Spain and a 4-0 victory against Haiti in Buenos Aires.

We will break down these goals into three different categories before finally voting on the Argentina 2018 goal of the year. The first will include the best goal before the 2018 FIFA World Cup, after that a second vote will be done where we select the best Argentina goal at the World Cup and after that a vote on the best goal scored after the World Cup. Once we have the top 3 goals, we will put them to a vote to select the 2018 Argentina Goal of the Year.
