Paulo DYBALA and Gonzalo HIGUAIN won their first piece of silverware by winning the Coppa Italia as they seek the club’s first treble.
Juventus took on Lazio in the final of this year’s Coppa Italia and the result was never in doubt as Juventus got a 2-0 victory against the team from Rome. Both Paulo DYBALA and Gonzalo HIGUAIN started the final.
The team now shifts their focus onto this weekend where they can lift another Scudetto ahead of this year’s Champions League final.
Sergio ROMERO was the star for Manchester United against Southampton.
The Manchester United cup goalkeeper Sergio ROMERO got a rare start in the Premier League in their 0-0 draw against Southampton. Sergio ROMERO did what Sergio ROMERO does best, save a penalty kick. In one of his first actions of the match, ROMERO was up against a penalty kick and just like he did against the Netherlands at the 2014 World Cup, he came up big and saved his team.

Argentina’s list of players for next month’s matches is expected to be announced on Friday.
While Jorge SAMPAOLI has not yet officially been announced as the new coach of the Argentina National Team, the AFA is expected to announce his list of Argentina players on Friday. There are a few names which are rumored to make the list, most notably the names of Mauro ICARDI and Leandro PAREDES.
Rumors out of Argentina are that Mauro ICARDI, Leandro PAREDES, Emanuel MAMMANA and Enzo PEREZ will make Jorge SAMPAOLI’s list as would team captain Lionel MESSI. Gonzalo HIGUAIN and Paulo DYBALA are expected to miss out on the two matches due to the Champions League final.
The team will play two matches next month, the first against Brazil in Australia and the second against Singapore in Singapore.
Current Sevilla coach Jorge SAMPAOLI has come out and commented on the Argentina National Team.
Jorge SAMPAOLI has been trying to avoid talking about the Argentina National Team as much as possible. However, when asked about it, he stated that nothing is official. Following his team’s 4-1 loss at the Santiago Bernabeau to Real Madrid, SAMPAOLI was asked about it all. Here’s what he had to say:
“I won’t recognize something that does not exist. There’s nothing official. The only official thing is what exists, the rest is subject to contracts and mine has a lot of edges to it. I don’t know the conversations that have happened between the club and the National Team to have to explain something that doesn’t exist.”
Regarding Jorge SAMPAOLI, coaching legend Marcelo BIELSA has recently stated that SAMPAOLI is better than him with explications.
Today, the Argentina U20 team coached by Claudio UBEDA took part in their second and last friendly match in Vietnam before departing to South Korea for the Under 20 World Cup.
Despite playing against a side which contained players who are a couple of years older than them (Vietnamese Under 22 national team), the team had no problem and routed the host to a 5-0 win! The goals were scored by Santiago COLOMBATTO, twice from Ezequiel PALACIOS, Marcos SENESI & Ezequiel PONCE. The match was played at the Mỹ Đình Stadium in Hanoi.
