Edgardo BAUZA is the new coach of the Argentina National Team.

In typical Argentine fashion, they were late to their own party. Sao Paulo, BAUZA’s previously club, had released a statement indicating that BAUZA has left the club and is the new coach of the Argentina National Team. The AFA were supposed to hold an announcement about it at 19:30pm local time.

With Sao Paulo, along with every reputable journalist in the country announcing it, it’s fair to say the job is his.

Jonathan CALLERI joins West Ham

Jonathan CALLERI has confirmed his move to West Ham United.

Speaking to Argentine television, Jonathan CALLERI, currently in Rio with the Argentina Olympic team, has confirmed that he has joined West Ham. Here’s what he had to say:

“I will play at West Ham. It is now closed. I wanted to play in Europe. I just need the visa of work. I hope I can adapt as soon as possible to the Premier League.”

CALLERI will join fellow Argentinian Manuel LANZINI at the club.

Strong rumors out of Argentina that Edgardo BAUZA has been chosen as the new manager of Argentina.

The rumors coming out of Argentina are that out of the three candidates (Ramon DIAZ, Edgardo BAUZA and Miguel Angel RUSSO), BAUZA is the one that has gotten the job. An announcement could be made in the next few hours. There are also rumors that should that be the case, Jorge BURRUCHAGA could join his coaching staff.

BAUZA has won two Copa Libertadores titles. One with Quito in 2008 and one as recent as the 2014 edition with San Lorenzo.

New Argentina National Team coach decided

The new coach of the Argentina National Team has been decided.

Per current interim AFA president Armando PEREZ, the new coach has already been decided. Here’s his quote:
“I’ve already decided on a name for the next coach of Argentina. We’ll announce it in the next few days. I’ll consult with some leaders and see if we can name the new coach today.”

Apparently, the new coach will be one of Ramon DIAZ, Edgardo BAUZA and Miguel Angel RUSSO. PEREZ has not yet announced who it is just yet but a decision has been made.

Diego SIMEONE named FourFourTwo’s best coach of 2016

Diego SIMEONE topped the list of FourFourTwo’s Best Football Managers in the World, 2016.

SIMEONE, who lead Atletico Madrid to their second Champions League final since he took over the club, was named by the best manager by the magazine. However, he wasn’t the only Argentinian on the list. Edgardo BAUZA, Mauricio POCHETTINO, Marcelo GALLARDO and Jorge SAMPAOLI were all included in the top 50. Here were their rankings:
