Nicolas GAITAN and Marcos ROJO talked to the media in a press conference on Sunday. GAITAN spoke about the team while ROJO was more about MESSI. Here’s what was said:

Nicolas GAITAN:
“Panama was a difficult opponent. They had the team to complicate things for us. I didn’t like the rough play. I’m not the best player but I go out and try to do my best to help my team mates. There’s no preference over the possible opponent in the quarter finals.”

Marcos ROJO:

Nore tests were done on DI MARIA and rhe results are that he has a small tear of his adductor.

Reports are that he may not be back until the final of the Copa America, should Argentina make it.

Angel DI MARIA suffered an injury and had to be substituted off in the first half during Argentina’s 5-0 win against Panama on Friday.

Some tests were done on DI MARIA and the diagnosis is that he is suffering pain in his right adductor and that more tests will have to be done to determine how long if he would miss the rest of the tournament or not.

Lionel MESSI spoke about his injury, the Copa America and being close to Gabriel BATISTUTA’s goal scoring record with the National Team. Here’s what he had to say:

“I’m happy because I was very anxious to play after being out. I couldn’t move normally. I heard that they were comparing me with JORDAN. That’s crazy.”

Tata MARTINO spoke about Argentina’s 5-0 victory against Panama and also about Lionel MESSI. Here’s what he had to say:

“Up until the second goal, the match was very physical. After that, it wasn’t the case anymore. It wasn’t an easy match to play. We’re still a solid National Team on defense and we recover the ball well.”

“The match was a different match until MESSI came on. Leo got substituted in and solved everything. We had planned that MESSI would play 30 minutes.”
