Copa America tickets to go on sale on February 28th

CONMEBOL announced today that the tickets for the Copa America will go on sale on February 28th, beginning at 10:00 am at the local time of each stadium.

The supporters will have the opportunity to buy tickets for the Group Stage, Quarterfinals, Semifinals and 3rd place match. Tickets for the Final at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami will be available at a later date.

Argentina will play the Copa America 2024 opening match against Canada or Trinidad and Tobago on June 20th at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. Then, the team captained by Lionel Messi will face Chile on June 25th at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, and they will end the group stage participation vs. Peru on June 29th at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.

The Champions League Round of 16 continues on Tuesday with two matches involving five Argentine players.

Lautaro Martínez and last season’s finalists Inter host three Argentine players and an Argentine coach. Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid with Rodrigo De Paul, Ángel Correa and Nahuel Molina play Inter in Italy.

Argentina’s number nine has two goals in six Champions League matches this season with Inter.

In the other Champions League match of the day, Walter Benítez and PSV Eindhoven host Borussia Dortmund. Benítez has kept one clean sheet and allowed 10 goals in six Champions League matches.

Argentina are set to play Nigeria and El Salvador in the United States.

The Argentina national team could be playing both of their matches in the United States in March. According to Esteban Edul, the World champions will be playing their two matches in the United States and not in China.

Lionel Scaloni’s team were initially going to play Nigeria and the Ivory Coast in China but that will not be happening. The two cities are expected to be announced in the next day.

Leandro Paredes scored for AS Roma in their 3-0 win vs. Frosinone.

Paredes has made it two goals and one assists in his last five matches with Roma. With AS Roma leading 2-0, they were awarded a penalty and it was the Argentine who took it and scored to give them the 3-0 lead.

Paulo Dybala was an unused substituted on the bench.

Nicolás Otamendi scored for Benfica in their 6-1 win vs. Vizela.

Otamendi scored a goal similar to the one he scored for Argentina against Brazil in November’s World Cup qualifier. Benfica were awarded a corner kick and the cross inside the penalty area fell to Otamendi and the Argentine would head the ball and score to give Benfica the 2-0 lead.

The 36 year old has now scored three goals this season, two in the league and one in the Allianz Cup.
