Julián Álvarez has been named as the Atletico Madrid Player of the Season.

Álvarez has won the award in his first season at the club. The Argentine finished the season with 29 goals and seven assists.

He had 17 goals and four assists in 37 La Liga matches, seven goals and one assist in 10 Champions League matches and five goals and two assists in seven Copa del Rey matches.

The 25 year old joined Atletico Madrid from Manchester City on a six year deal.

Everton are set to activate the €15 million buy option clause for Carlos Alcaraz from Flamengo, according to reports by journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The 22-year-old Argentine was on loan this season with the English club, which finished 13th in the 2024/2025 Premier League. This year, Alcaraz played in 15 matches and scored 2 goals.
