Rosario Central announced through an emotional video on their social media channels that Ángel Di María is returning to the club where he began his career.

“Welcome, Ángel. We were waiting for you.”

The video ends with that message and includes several touching moments, with images of a young Di María wearing the blue and yellow jersey.

The 37-year-old Argentine legend will leave Benfica as a free agent after taking part in the Club World Cup in the United States.

Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly advanced heavily in wanting to sign Franco Mastantuono of River Plate.

Franco Mastantuono could be leaving River Plate for Paris. According to Germán García Grova, the French league champions have spoken with Mastantuono’s representatives and are thinking about triggering his release clause now.

It would either be to trigger his release clause now or to negotiate a deal and bring him in December.

Julio Soler, Aaron Anselmino and Alejo Sarco called up to Argentina U20 national team

Julio Soler, Aaron Anselmino, Alejo Sarco and Gianluca Prestianni have been called up to Argentina U20 national team.

Coach Diego Placente has called up 27 players for the two friendly matches on June 6 and June 9 against Australia. Claudio Echeverri is not part of the list and there are four players from Europe and one from Uruguay that have been called up. Here are the names:

The draw for the 2025 U20 World Cup takes place on Thursday with Argentine in Pot two for the draw.

Argentina are one of five South American teams that are in the U20 World Cup. With Chile as hosts, Brazil and Colombia are in Pot 1 with Argentina in Pot two. Here are the pots for the draw which will take place in Santiago on Thursday:

Messi continues to break records. After scoring two goals for Inter Miami in their 4-2 win against Montreal, the Argentine has now scored 863 career goals.

He is also the first Inter Miami player in history to have 50 goal contributions in regular season. He has 29 goals and 21 assists in the league.
