Ángel Di María scored and had an assist for Rosario Central in their 3-0 win against Gimnasia.

Di María made it five goals in 10 matches since rejoining Rosario Central, scoring in their win to make it three goals and one assist in his last four matches. Alejo Véliz opened the scoring for Rosario to give them a 1-0 lead.

With Rosario leading 1-0, they were awarded a corner kick and it was Di María who would cross it and find Enzo Giménez who would score Rosario’s second goal of the game. At 2-0, Di María would get his goal.

He would dribble inside the penalty area, beat his marker and score to give Rosario the 3-0 lead. Di María decided not to celebrate the goal. Speaking to the media after the match, here is what he had to say about why he did not celebrate:

“I want to thank the people of Gimnasia, their affection is incredible. I wish them all the best.

“Since we arrived in La Plata, the people have been incredible to me. They didn’t deserve me celebrating the goal, and that’s why I apologized.”

Lautaro Martínez scored in Inter’s 2-0 win against Cagliari in Serie A.

The Argentine forward opened the scoring in the 8th minute with a header after a cross from Alessandro Bastoni. With this goal, Martínez reached two goals in the current Serie A season.

The striker started the match and was later substituted in the second half.

Nico Paz scores for Como in 1-1 draw vs. Cremonese

Nico Paz continued his run of form in Serie A with another goal for Como. The 21-year-old Argentine scored the only goal for his team in a 1-1 draw against Cremonese on matchday five of the league.

Paz opened the scoring in the 32nd minute with a finish inside the area after a cross from Spanish teammate Jesús Rodríguez. Cremonese equalized in the 70th minute through Federico Baschirotto, assisted by Argentine-born Italian international Franco Vázquez.

Argentine midfielder Máximo Perrone played the full 90 minutes for Como and was booked in the first half. Paz was substituted at the end of regulation for Álvaro Morata.

On the visitors’ side, the Argentine Martín Payero started the match.

Paz has now recorded three goals and three assists in five appearances this season. He is among the league’s top scorers alongside Christian Pulisic of Milan and Marcus Thuram of Inter, who also have three goals. In assists, he matches Nikola Krstovic of Atalanta and Kenan Yıldız of Juventus with three each.

Álvarez made it five goals in his last two matches for Atletico Madrid and six goals in seven matches. With the score at 2-2, Atletico were awarded a penalty kick and it was Julián Álvarez who took it.

The 25 year old went to the left of Thibaut Courtois, scoring to give Atletico Madrid the 3-2 lead. Atletico were awarded a free kick and one more, it was Julián Álvarez who would take the set piece.

He would take it and the Argentine would score his second goal of the match to give Atletico the 4-2 lead. Giuliano Simeone and Nicolás González would also start for Atletico Madrid with Nahuel Molina coming on as a substitute and Juan Musso an unused substitute.

Fernández made it three goals in six matches with Chelsea, scoring in their loss. With the score at 0-0, James with a cross inside the penalty area found Enzo and the Argentine would head the ball and score to give Chelsea the 1-0 lead.

Trevoh Chalobah of Chelsea would get red carded and Brighton would score three goals to get the win. Alejandro Garnacho was an unused substitute while Facundo Buonanotte was not on the bench.
