Alejo Sarco speaks on Argentina U20’s 3-1 win vs. Cuba at U20 World Cup

Alejo Sarco spoke about the Argentina U20 national team’s 3-1 win against Cuba at the U20 World Cup.

Sarco scored two goals for Argnetina in their first match in Chile. The first goal from close range and the second a header with Ian Subiabre scoring the other goal for Argentina. Speaking after the match, here is what Sarco had to say:

“I’m very pleased, very happy. It was very important to start with a win and luckily we managed to pull it off.

“We were down a man for a long time, but we knew how to handle it and gave it our all on the pitch.”

Alejo Sarco scores twice for Argentina U20 in 3-1 win vs. Cuba at U20 World Cup

Alejo Sarco scored twice for the Argentina U20 national team in their 3-1 win against Cuba at the U20 World Cup.

Sarco had both goals for Diego Placente’s team in their 2-1 win at their first match in Chile. Three minutes into the match, Santino Andino would play a pass to Maher Carrizo on the wing and Carrizo would dribble inside the penalty area, play a low cross in to Alejo Sarco and Sarco would score from close range to give Argentina the 1-0 lead.

With Argentina leading 1-0, Santiago Fernández would go for the ball inside the penalty area and would foul Raballo of Cuba. The referee would give Santiago Fernández a red card and award Cuba a penalty kick.

Diego Placente would use a green card, to challenge VAR to reverse the decision. Santiago Fernández would get the red card but no penalty kick was given.

Placente would substitute Teo Pagano in for Santino Andino. At 1-0 for Argentina, Dylan Gorosito would play a cross into the penalty area and Sarco would head the ball into the back of the goal to make it 2-0 for Argentina.

Minutes later, Cuba would get a goal off a corner kick.

Ian Subiabre, Mateo Silvetti and Tobías Andrada would be substituted into the match for Maher Carrizo, Alejo Sarco and Valentino Acuña. Subiabre would score for Argentina.

Also in Argentina’s group are Italy and Australia, both teams having played on Sunday and Italy winning 1-0 to go second place in the group behind Argentina who are first.

Argentina play Australia on Wednesday.

The starting eleven for the Argentina U20 national team has been announced for their match against Cuba at the U20 World Cup.

Argentina U20 national team coach Diego Placente has named his starting eleven for the team’s first match in Chile. Here is the eleven:

Santino Barbi; Juan M. Villalba, Tobías Ramírez, Santiago Fernández, Dylan Gorosito; Valentino Acuña, Álvaro Montoro, Milton Delgado; Santino Andino, Alejo Sarco and Maher Carrizo

Matías Soulé scores for AS Roma in 2-0 win vs. Verona

Matías Soulé scored for AS Roma in their 2-0 win against Verona.

Soulé made it two goals and one assist in five matches with AS Roma. With AS Roma leading 1-0, the ball fell to the Argentine inside the penalty area and he scored from close range to give AS Roma the 2-0 lead.

Paulo Dybala is out due to injury and did not take play for AS Roma.

Emiliano Buendía scores, assists for Aston Villa in 3-1 win vs. Fulham

Emiliano Buendía scored and assisted for Aston Villa in their 3-1 win against Fulham.

Buendía started Aston Villa’s match against Fulham on the bench but was substituted into the game in the second half. Four minutes after being substituted in, he would pass it to John McGinn and his effort from outside of the penalty area gave Aston Villa the 2-1 lead.

Two minutes after Aston Villa’s goal, Rogers played a pass into the penalty area which found Buendía and the Argentine would score Aston Villa’s third goal of the match.

For Aston Villa, Emiliano Martínez started the game.
