Mauro Icardi scored for Galatasaray in their 3-2 win vs. Manchester United.

Icardi continued his goal scoring form for Galatasaray in a memorable 3-2 win. With United taking the lead twice and Galatasaray drawing level twice, the Turkish club were awarded a penalty kick and a chance to take a 3-2 lead.

A red card for Casemiro and Galatasaray were playing against 10 Manchester United players. The 30 year old took the penalty but his effort went wide of the goal as it remained 2-2 at Old Trafford.

Minutes later, the ball fell to the Argentine in midfield as he ran through on goal and chipped the goalkeeper and scored to give Galatasaray the lead. Icardi now has eight goals in nine matches for Galatasaray.

Alejandro Garnacho came on as a substitute for Manchester United in the second half.

The Champions League continues on Tuesday with Matchday 2 and the big match involving the Argentine players is Inter against Benfica.

Nicolás Capaldo and RB Salzburg host Real Sociedad in one of the early games of the matchday. RB Salzburg won 2-0 vs. Benfica in the first matchday and could top the group with a win on Tuesday.

Lautaro Martínez scored four goals for Inter in their last league match and they host Benfica. Inter drew their first match 1-1 against Real Sociedad.

Manchester United will be without Lisandro Martínez but will have Alejandro Garnacho when they host Mauro Icardi and Galatasaray. United lost their firstr match against Bayern while Galatasaray 2-2 vs. Copenhagen.

Walter Benítez and PSV lost 4-0 against Arsenal in the first match and they host Sevilla which drew 1-1 in their last game against RC Lens. Mateo Tanlongo and FC Copenhagen host Bayern.

Nicolás González has now scored four goals and has one assist for Fiorentina as he found the back of the net in Fiorentina’s 3-0 win vs. Cagliari.

González cannot stop scoring. The Argentine has four goals and one assist in seven matches this season in the league, now scoring in consecutive games. It took the 25 year old just three minutes to score the first goal of the match.

A cross into the penalty area and the loose ball fell to the Nicolás González who scored from close range to give Fiorentina the 1-0 lead. Lucas Beltrán and Lucas Martínez Quarta also started the game.

Lionel Messi will be receiving his own 6-part series on AppleTV+ premiering this month. The trailer shows Lionel Messi with Inter Miami and interviews with Messi himself and David Beckham.

Argentina team for October to be announced this week

The Argentina national team list for the October World Cup qualifying matches will be announced this week.

Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni will be announcing his latest Argentina team this week as their first game will take place on October 12 vs. Paraguay. The team will play a second game on October 17 against Peru.

Lionel Scaloni be able to count on Marcos Acuña as he had missed the September World Cup qualifying games against Ecuador and Bolivia due to injury. Scaloni will not be able to count on Lisandro Martinez as he is injured and does require surgery.

Lionel Messi’s fitness remains a worry but as reported, the aim is for him to be able to get some minutes with Inter Miami during their match vs. Cincinnati on Saturday which would be the last match before the international break.
