Fans were swarming around Lionel Messi as he was having dinner and leaving a restaurant in Argentina.

It’s nearly impossible to be Lionel Messi and to go unnoticed in public. And even less so in Argentina.

The Best player in the world is back in his native country as the Argentina national team will play two matches this month and the excitement and celebrations have already started. The World Cup winner was having dinner at the Don Julio restaurant and when word got out, fans flocked to the outside of the restaurant.

From fans singing the “Muchachos” song, to an ovation as he was leaving, to Messi literally being mobbed as he was entering his vehicle. It’s not always easy being Lionel Messi.

Argentina national team players have started to arrive to the country for the friendly matches later this month.

Lionel Messi is in Argentina, having arrived on Monday morning. He, along with Emiliano Dibu Martínez, Emiliano Buendía and Thiago Almada also landed on Monday.

Enzo Fernández and Nicolas Tagliafico landed on Sunday. Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni will hold a training session on Monday afternoon.

The World Cup champions play Panama on Thursday and Curaçao on March 28.

Argentina national team plan for this week, press conference

The Argentina national team will be training before their match vs. Panama on Thursday and coach Lionel Scaloni will hold a press conference.

Players of the Argentina national team have already started arriving to the country. Lionel Scaloni will be getting his players on Monday and a training session will also be held today, behind closed doors.

Lionel Scaloni will hold a press conference on Tuesday at 3:30 pm local time. A second training session will be held on Tuesday, this one available to the media but only for the first 15 minutes.

Wednesday is the team’s final training session before the match against Panama on Thursday.

Exequiel Palacios scored twice for Bayer Leverkusen in their 2-1 win vs. Bayern Munich.

Palacios had two penalty goals for Leverkusen as his form continues to improve under coach Xabi Alonso. With Bayern Munich leading 1-0, Leverkusen were awarded a penalty kick.

Up stepped the Argentine who went to the goalkeeper’s right and score to draw Leverkusen level. But minutes later, Leverkusen were awarded another penalty.

Once more, up stepped the World Cup winner and he would again go to the goalkeeper’s right and score. Since Xabi Alonso took over as coach in October of last year, Palacios has been getting regular playing minutes, now having played 90 minutes in the last four Bundesliga matches.

Germán Pezzella substituted out injured for Real Betis

Germán Pezzella was susbtituted out injured for Real Betis in their La Liga match on Sunday.

Pezzella left the match for Real Betis with eight minutes left against Mallorca in what appears to be an injury. The Argentine was one of the best players on the pitch.

The 31 year old defender has been called up to the Argentina national team for the two matches against Panama and Curacao later this week and nexy week. The seriousness of his injury remains to be seen.

Alejandro Garnacho and Alejandro Papu Gomez have already been ruled out of the two matches due to injuries. Here are the players that have been called up to the team by Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni:
