Argentina against Venezuela in the World Cup qualifiers will be played at La Bombonera.

The last home match of the 2022 Qatar World Cup qualifiers for the Argentina national team will be played at Boca’s stadium. The match was supposed to be played at the Monumental but as we reported last week, that will no longer be the case.

It is the first of two World Cup qualifying matches for Argentina in March. The match against Venezuela will be played on 25 March with the second on 29 March against Ecuador but away from home. Here is the preliminary team that has been called up to the Argentina national team for those two World Cup qualifying matches:

Alejandro Garnacho of Manchester United posted about being called up to the Argentina national team.

Garnacho is part of the preliminary list of players for Argentina’s March World Cup qualifiers. Born in Spain and having represented Spain at youth level, the Argentine is eligible to play for Argentina as one of his parents is born in Argentina.

The 17 year old posted on Instagram a picture of himself as a child wearing an Argentina national team shirt.

Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni called up 44 players to the preliminary team for the March World Cup qualifiers and the reason behind it has been revealed.

Of those 44 players, three of them are 18 year old players with four of them being 17 year old players. While there are some more popular players who have been linked with the national team such as Luka Romero of Lazio and MAtias Soule of Juventus, according to TyC Sports, there is a reason why Scaloni has decided to call up that many youngster.

Only Matias Soule had previously been called up to the Argentina national team. According to TyC Sports, the AFA could have a few friendly matches for the Argentina U20 team during the international fixtures. This would give coach Javier Mascherano the chance to have those players with the team.

This would also give the young players a chance to train with the senior Argentina national team. Argentina play Venezuela and Ecuador in the March World Cup qualifiers. Here is the full list of players that have been called up:

Franco and Valentin Carboni of Inter have both made the Argentina preliminary team for the March World Cup qualifiers.

The two brothers have made the preliminary team for the first time. Franco, the older brother is 18 years old with Valentin being the younger brother at 17 years of age. They are the sons of former Argentine midfielder Ezequiel Carboni. Both players are midfielders and have represented Italy at youth level.

Ezequiel played for Lanus, FC Red Bull Salzburg, Catania and Banfield. As we reported earlier, he was team mates with current Argentina midfielder Alejandro Papu Gómez at Catania.

Argentina play both Venezuela and Ecuador, home and away. Coach Lionel Scaloni has included Franco and Valentin in the preliminary list and here are the players which have been called up for the qualifiers this month:

Lionel Messi is back in the Argentina team as Alejandro Garnacho of Manchester United makes the preliminary list.

Messi returns to the Argentina national team as coach Lionel Scaloni has released his preliminary list for the World Cup qualifiers in March. A total of 44 players have been called to the Argentina team with Scaloni selecting many youth players.

Garnacho, only 17 years old, is born in Spain and has represented Spain at youth level. His mother is Argentine and he is eligible to play for the Argentina national team. Luka Romero of Lazio, another 17 year old, has also been included in the preliminary team.

Valentin and Franco Carboni, both from the Inter youth team, are also in the team. Both players have represented Italy at youth level. Their father Ezequiel was team mates with Alejandro Papu Gomez at Catania.

Lucas Boyé has scored seven goals in 20 matches with Elche this season and that has earned the 26 year old a call up to the team. Matias Soulé, the 18 year old from Juventus is also included.
