Argentina rumored XI, Guido Rodríguez, Emiliano Buendía available

Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni will have Guido Rodriguez and Emiliano Buendia available for Tuesday’s World Cup qualifier.

Lionel Scaloni tested negative for COVID as did the entire team but one person. Alexis Mac Allister is positive for COVID and is the only player who was not available for Scaloni. Guido Rodriguez will be able to play for Argentina in their World Cup qualifying match against Colombia on Tuesday.

Lucas Ocampos and Maxi Meza, who both missed the 2-1 win vs. Chile, trained with the rest of the team. According to Ole, they would be available to start from the bench for Tuesday’s match. Ocampos suffered from an ankle injury but has recovered.

Alejandro Papu Gómez received as knock on his ankle in the 2-1 win vs. Chile and the staff will wait on Papu. Per the article, he did train normally but if he doesn’t start, Buendía would start in his place. Here is the rumored XI:

Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni has tested negative for COVID through a rapid PCR test.

Lionel Scaloni has recovered from COVID but had tested positive and was unable to travel with the team for the 2-1 win vs. Chile on Thursday. According to TNT Sports, Scaloni has tested negative through a rapid PCR test.

Scaloni isn’t the only one who tested positive from the Argentina team. As we reported, Alexis Mac Allister, who previously tested positive, has now tested negative. Emiliano Buendia of Aston Villa was in close contact with someone who had COVID and the team will wait to see if he will be available. Here is the updated names of those available for Argentina:

Alexis Mac Allister of Brighton tests COVID negative, available for Argentina

Alexis Mac Allister of Brighton has tested negative for Argentina and could be available for their World Cup qualifying match against Colombia on Tuesday.

Mac Allister tested positive for COVID prior to Argentina’s World Cup qualifying match against Chile on Thursday. He did not travel with the team and stayed in Argentina. According to TNT Sports, the Argentine has tested negative and could be available for Tuesday’s match.

Tottenham and Olympique Lyonnais in talks over Giovani Lo Celso

Lyon are looking to sign Gio Lo Celso from Tottenham as talks are ongoing between both clubs.

Gio Lo Celso could be leaving England and going back to Ligue 1 but at a new club in France. According to Fabrizio Romano, Lyon are interested in signing the Argentine. He would be seen as a replacement for Bruno Guimaraes who looks set to join Newcastle United.

Tottenham want his salary paid in full until June in addition to a loan fee. This would not be the first time that he plays in Ligue 1 as he signed with Paris Saint-Germain back in 2016 from Rosario Central.

Lo Celso spent three years with PSG but was loaned out to Rosario Central and Real Betis. He would eventually leave Paris for Seville where he would sign with Betis for one year and also go on loan at Tottenham. From there, he would sign a permanent deal at the club.

The 25 year old hasn’t played a full 90 minutes in the Premier League this season for the club, taking part in only nine matches and missing and missing seven due to injury.

Argentina players suspended, possible emergency call-ups to be made

Four players are suspended for Argentina as coach Lionel Scaloni could be calling up some emergency players from the local league.

There were four players which were yellow carded in the 2-1 win vs. Chile and will miss the next match against Colombia on Tuesday. Nicolás Tagliafico, Nicolás Otamendi, Rodrigo De Paul and Leandro Paredes all got a yellow card and will miss the next match.

For the players, Alexis Mac Allister tested positive and Emiliano Buendia was in close contact with someone who tested positive. Both remained in Argentina for the 2-1 win. For those that did take part in the team, there were also some players suspended.

Lucas Ocampos and Maxi Meza both displayed COVID symptoms and did not make the bench. As we reported, Ocampos also has an ankle injury and is a doubt for the match against Colombia on Tuesday.
