Lucas Boyé scored and assisted for Elche in their 2-2 draw vs. Real Madrid.

Boyé continues his great form as he was involved in both of Elche’s goals. A cross was sent into the penalty area as the Argentine headed it in with a powerful flying header to give Elche the 1-0 lead.

He is now on seven goals and two assists in 17 matches in La Liga this season. For the second goal, Boyé received the ball and spun around two Real Madrid players before playing the pass in to Pere Mila who would score.

Still only 25 years old, he has yet to be called up to the Argentina national team. He has three goals and two assists in his last four matches.

Lucas Alario scored for Bayer Leverkusen in their 5-1 win vs. Augsburg.

Alario scored his first goal since September of last year for Bayer Leverkusen. The 29 year old was brought on as a substitute for Leverkusen and with the score at 4-1, would score the last goal.

A pass into the penalty area found the Argentine as Alario scored with a back heel to make it 5-1 for Leverkusen.

Alejandro Papu Gomez and Franco Cervi both scored for their respective clubs in Sevilla’s 2-2 draw against Celta Vigo.

Franco Cervi opened the scoring in the match after an initial shot was saved by the goalkeeper but Cervi got to the loose ball first and scored. That goal was his first since he scored in September against Real Madrid and his second of the season.

Papu Gomez scored the first one for Sevilla with a goal of the week. The Argentine would take the ball from the outside of the penalty area, cut inside and place the ball into the top side of the goal.

According to Opta, Papu Gomez has scored four of his six goals in La Liga from outside of the penalty area.

Angel Correa scored for Atletico Madrid in their 3-2 win vs. Valencia.

Correa scored the dramatic equalizer in injury time and had a back heel pass for the win. With Valencia leading 2-0, Diego Simeone’s men scored three goals to get the win. A cross into the penalty area which was stopped by the goalkeeper, the Argentine got to the loose ball and scored to draw Atletico level.

The 26 year old played a big part in Atletico’s third goal of the match. He would play a back heel to Cunha who passed it to Hermoso who scored.

Selected for the Argentina national team for the January and February World Cup qualifiers, Correa now has four goals in his last three matches for Atletico Madrid.
