Joaquin Correa had to be substituted off injured for Inter vs. Empoli.

Correa started the match for Inter but was substituted out after only five minutes. The 27 year old appeared to have possibly pulled something as he left the pitch in tears.

He did make the list earlier today as he is part of the Argentina national team for the World Cup qualifying matches against Chile and Colombia. The extent of his injury remains unknown.

Argentina could be playing a friendly match against Brazil.

It would be a rematch of the Copa America final this summer. According to Globo in Brazil, Argentina, who are already confirmed to play Italy in June, could be playing a second friendly match.

With Brazil rumored to be playing England in June, the match between the two South American countries could happen. With both teams having already qualified for the World Cup in Qatar, this could be one of the last friendly matches for them as they prepare for Qatar.

The last time these two teams played each other was in a 0-0 draw in a World Cup qualifier back in November.

Lionel Messi is not part of the Argentina national team for the January and February World Cup qualifiers.

Argentina national team coach has announced his list for the World Cup qualifying matches and as expected, Lionel Messi is not selected. He will instead remain with PSG. Scaloni has selected Alexis Mac Allister of Brighton and Emiliano Buendia of Aston Villa.

Cristian Romero of Tottenham Hotspur is not part of the team as he has just started training with his club. He has not played since Argentina’s 0-0 draw against Brazil in November.

The Copa America champions are already qualified for the 2022 Qatar World Cup. They play Chile away on January 27 and Colombia on February 1 at home.

Nicolas Tagliafico has received a loan offer from Napoli.

Tagliafico could be joining Napoli on a loan deal as the club have made an offer. According to César Luis Merlo, Ajax have received an offer for the Argentine but Ajax would prefer a sale. His current contract runs out in June of this year.

FC Barcelona have also shown actual interest as they have been linked with a left back.
