Javier PASTORE and Ezequiel LAVEZZI were both on the scoresheets for their clubs.
While all the talk in Paris was regarding NEYMAR’s 222 million move, there was still a Ligue 1 match to be played for the club. PSG hosted Amiens SC in their opening match of the season and picked up a 2-0 victory courtesy of a goal by CAVANI and Argentina’s own Javier PASTORE. PASTORE netted the second of the match. Already 28 years old, this season (especially right before the World Cup) can be seen as a make or break one for flaco.
From Paris all the way to China, PASTORE’s former team mate with the National Team Ezequiel LAVEZZI scored for Hebei China Fortune in their 3-0 win against Yanbian. Both LAVEZZI and PASTORE’s goals are similar as the pass came in from the right hand side and a finish from inside the area.
In PSG he has lost his No.10 Shirt and probably starting 11..and he still believes he can give more..Not the right place to be…
Better off at Lille under Bielsa or AC Milan..Not sure if anyone in Barcelona are interested to take him..
I agree with you @Petro. He should move out. He has lost his place and I am not sure he is worried about it. Same for NT. He is not a regular and gets a call here and there and plays a few minutes and seems, again, he is OK with it.
He has skills to be in Barcelona, they could get him for lot cheaper, then if he can build the stamina and defensive qualities he can be much better option than Andre Gomes or Arda Turan.
It seems Barcelona is close to signing Coutinho……i don’t want to see another Brazilian getting better while having the benefit of playing with la pulga!
Hoping to see Dybala next to Messi very soon.
Agree with you all. Pastore seems to me a guy who does not try hard enough. He has a languid style of playing, I am not talking about that. Just his body language, his interviews etc. points towards someone who is satisfied very easily. He seems to be happy as a reserve player is PSG and lacks the desire to be top of the world. He surely has the talent, someone needs to push him to realize the potential. Its a pity.
Except for Messi no one has a subscription on a starting place. Just like every other midfielder Pastore has to earn his place. With Sampaoli in charge, that means performing at a high level and working hard. If not, you’re out. Luckily Sampaoli has plenty of players to choose from.
Question: during his tour Sampaoli is showing video’s to players but also (info) graphics. There have been a few images in Ole, but those were hard to read. Does anyone has an idea what he is showing in the graphics?
Rough translation of the screen they used for Musacchio.
“Mateo Musacchio, recovery: one-on-one, anticipation/advancing, crosses, back four, to large spaces, aerial game. Start: long, short passing, opposite field.
By touching each of these items you can see the various videos of Musacchio in action. As the images progress, Sampaoli and Beccacece underline concepts to their intended audience”.
thanks EnganChe!
No worries
agreed pastore need to work even hardier and need to cement a place not just be part of a team. the talent is their but he needs to be consistent 9/10 games not the currant 4/5 out of every 10 games.
as they say the ball is in his court as it is all up to him.
I agree with you petro but I don’t recall the last time Postore was in the starting line-up he’s just like an arda turan in psg.
Pastore need to works more harder. talents should not be wasted. Hope this season he could bring up his physical and shooting to compete with his teammates
Pastore needs to win the midfield battle in PSG..He also needs to win big against big clubs to cement his place in starting 11..
It is a curse generation and worst losers ever in the football history
