Leandro Paredes, Nahuel Molina and Nicolás González train with Argentina national team

Leandro Paredes, Nahuel Molina and Nicolás González all trained with the Argentina national team.

Paredes was back training with the team on Thursday. According to Maximiliano Grillo, the Argentine trained with his team mates and he could be an option for Lionel Scaloni at the World Cup against Algeria.

The 31 year old did not play for Argentina against Honduras and Iceland. Nahuel Molina and Nicolás González also trained without any issues.

    • Still here lurking. Still big fan. Just don’t have time and don’t feel as informed to give opinions. Winning titles cured all the trauma.

      • Cheers mate. I’m watching games just to have a good time for a change. Absolutely no pressure this time.

    • I believe kidulthood was rooting for Columbia unless he decided to come back rooting for us. I haven’t seen Mafioso for a while as well as there were two kiwis Pablod and the other guy with Iraqi ancestry. I can’t recollect his name. Elpipita ??? Hope they are fine.

      • He was Mamun el pipita.
There’s another guy called Gonzalo who used to give updates on local players.
I liked kidulthood during 2014 WC, then something happened to him.

  1. Paredes back is the best news. His versatility gives us options now, especially since Taglia is out, scaloni will consider playing three in back with paredes in front of them and left and right wing backs to cover lanes. It works better if spider alvarez is available as he tracks back and pressures a bit more than El toro.
Other than that no complaints. I’m going to repeat this multiple times: I am happy, we received two world cups in my lifetime.

    • Paredes is still an elite regista, his passing is sublime and might be needed in the heat where teams that control the tempo of the game do better. By the way, slightly injured or recovering players who are fresh in later stages of a tournament that is being played in very hot conditions, are in some paradoxical ways almost on par with healthy but exhausted players.

Toro also presses and tracks back, but very few players are energizer bunnies like Alvarez, he is unmatched in that regard.

Yes, playing as reigning champions is great, as I said before we’re playing with house money. Repeating would be hard, but as long as we go far, I think I’d be satisfied.

    • Good to see you Eganche. How have you been che. I agree 💯 percent. Lisandro does track back but not as speedy and energetic as the spider. My favorite player is paredes, although I wish he went to river plate lol. He can be all over the field, I feel he isn’t as strong physically this last year watching boca, but he still has great passing skills of course.
We just need to keep our identity and play as we have been since the scaloneta has begun. Vamos

      • Its great to see both of you back. I ve been here since 2008 and we are missing many cules in the comment section. It was fun back
in the days. After winning the WC everyone got lazy lol But i ll take it.
Vamos. Argentina all the way. Back to back.

  2. no need injured taglafico ..should out of squared and capaldo in..He is a varsatile defender ..he also can play in midfield ..so argentina need this type of player more then injured taflafico..

  3. Good news…only issue now is tagliafico…i dont know why god always want Argentina to suffer before getting the gold.

    • Dama for Argentina is (a) the way the passion works for the fans and players, and (b) it is the price we pay so we can see the likes of Diego and Leo on the pitch. I have been willing to pay that price since 1990.
