Lisandro MAGALLAN to replace Victor CUESTA

It has been confirmed that Lisandro Magallan will replace Victor Cuesta in the starting lineup for tomorrow’s final group match against Honduras.  Julio Olarticoechea has stated that the match will be played as if it is a final.  Only a win will secure Argentina a spot in the quarterfinals as they are tied in points with Honduras and are down -1 on goal differential.  It should make for a very exciting but nerve-wracking match.

  1. Now that city signed stones and if kompany is healthy baldie(pep)will bench otamendi our best defender.city already destroyed willy caballero who was the best argentine keeper.
    Otamendi should have stayed in spain.

    • How did City “destroy” Willy? Do you really believe he went to City thinking he was going to City and be the #1 over Hart?

      Sometimes it’s okay to blame the players instead of the clubs.

      • Mori benched Stones last season.In terms of statistics,Stones is that EPL outfield player who made the most number of errors that led to goal.If Otamendi can’t bench Stones what good is he?

        On the otherhand,if Pep insist on keeping otamendi out due to being idealist then it is his problem.Otamendi has nothing to prove.

        • Stones is the kind center back pep likes, he brings the ball out of the defense and pep insisted on him.i doubt kompany will be benched when healthy.
          Unless he plays three man defense otamendi will likely be benched.

          • I don’t think pep will bench Otamendi. I think he is planning to play a 3 men defense as they don’t have any “pep type fullback” at the moment.

      • Perhaps he was promised he will have a fair competition v hart to be no 1 and pellegrini was his coach.this is what he said at the time.
        I know I am coming to a big club with a very good goalkeeper. City already have a great goalkeeper in Joe Hart, but I will try and compete for the number one spot.”
