Sergio Aguero could miss two more months for Manchester City

Sergio Aguero could miss up to two more months due to injury according to Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola.

Aguero has been out of action since June and could be out until November. A knee injury against Burnley on June 22 means that Aguero was not selected by Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni for the team’s two World Cup qualifying matches next month. And according to coach Pep Guardiola, he will be out for longer:

“We knew the injury was difficult. He still hasn’t had one training session with us and Sergio is not a guy who regains his physical condition quickly. He has been out for a long time, so maybe in one or two months he will be ready.”

  6. @ kavi It’s okay bro. He started over varetti bcz he is injured. I don’t mean you that paredes is but player. Not only me we also want DM like Maradona. So it hurts us we have not. Fernandinho almost 36 years old but pep Guardiola still believe him & he is new season captain. You can see he can not get national team call but he still captain as a one of the best club of England. If there is no paredes we must see another charecter in this position who is better than him. I want to tell this

  7. German players are always overhyped.Timo werner and Havertz are good players but not phenomenal.But Germany always makes better team with full use of their resources.
    Chelsea should not have sold William.Pullisic is their best player.

    • Most german players are system players, get them out in a good system and they will fail. But in a good working system they perform well, coach says them from where to move, where to move and when to move. Hardworkers, fast, athletic, disciplined but below average dribbling and individual skills.

    • Adjusting in Premier League from Bundesliga isn’t easy, Wener played good games so far but unlucky not to score goals. Yes Havartz struggled but he is just 21 and generational talent, Hazard also took time to adapt in Chelsea after moving from Marseille.

  8. @ kavi Mind your language. You don’t know how to talk with stranger. I know Paredes is one of the good passer defensive midfielder but if he really good he can’t play as a sub for idressa gueye & marcos varetti. His defensive skill is not like a world class DM.

    • Paredes started ahead of Verratiin in CL semi final and final that says a lot but if i hurted your feelings forgive me.I never meant that

    • I think he is ready to take next step.
      He just need to create some chances for Messi and co in this world cup qualifiers.
      He needs to make impact in the final third for the NT and I m pretty sure then he will be able to find some big club soon.

    • De Paul release clause is higher and pandemic made it difficult otherwise Musso to Inter and De Paul to Juventus would happened this summer.

I recently saw Chimmy Avila and i can say he is better than Lautaro Martinez,better than Timo Werner,better than Aguero.He should be selected as soon as possible.He is injured right now but i can see he is complete striker.He is on Atletico Madrid’s radar.He bends the ball like Bekham,dribbles like Papu Gomez,shoots like Sergio Aguero,runs like Mbappe.I may be overhyping but he is really great

  14. Di marea is another world best player. Consistent performances, didn’t get a call to the national team after that? I’m surprised!!

    • Becoz coatch scaloni have not seen any future, Any plan, Any project of selecting Di Maria in the National Team. I think we will miss him badly in La paz match. Also he will be a good sub in world cup Qualifing match before Copa 21.

  15. Scaloni didn’t select Lisandro Martinez bcoz of his height( as a CD). Scaloni likes the players with height.
    Scaloni didn’t select Marcos Senesi becoz he is not a Ball playing central Defende.His passing ability is not world class.
    Scaloni didn’t select Cristian Romero becz of his poor Devolopment in Genoa. He is just a overrated player. Remember One think…C. Romero is juvesntus 5th choich Center back… Chielini> Bonucchi> De legt> Demiral> Romero

    In my point of view Cristian romero is just a average young Central Defende also he is not strong in air, not strong in Aerial Duels. Becoz i followed hi

    • I don’t agree on sensei & Romero observations. Sensei is a good ball playing defender. He is just raw & his chance will come. One or two good games against top quality opposition he will grab attention. He looks slow though imo.
      Similarly C Romero has performed best among Argentine young defenders last season & was one of Genoa’s best players. He is aerially strong & even scored set piece goals for Genoa & Argentine u23. One of the best tacklers in serie a. Problem with him is card discipline & ball play , passing is v poor. Scaloni sees foyth,neuhen & Martinez quarta as more balanced right central defenders as they can build game from deep.
      Scaloni at some time will try lisandro for his positional versatality. Even if he is short he is aerially smart.

  17. Lo Celso is playing well at second half, Lamela got a chance, nice hair look, well shot that brings Kane goal and dribble. However with the Bale arriving he will get less chance of playing or maybe Mou will try to sell Dell Ali. Super Son Heung-Min is on fire with 4 goals.

    it’s really entertaining to watch a football game with high scoring 5-2, football become more attractive with attacking style…even Mou can say goodbye to boring football

  19. Nobody is criticizing argentina league. We value argentina league a lot. As an albiceleste fan I would love to watch argentina league on regular basis. But here in india argentina league is not shown on television. La liga, French league, even Bundesliga is not being broadcast. We only want our beloved albiceleste to be world Cup winner. We are okay with team selection. I am happy with the absence of kun, Di Maria. But I can’t accept the inclusion of Walter kanneman over locha Martinez and Cristian Romero. Salvio , Armani and Andrade are rumoured to be called up. We are okay with zaracho, Martinez quarta, and Gonzalo Montiel. We have seen enough of Armani. France match should have been his last match for argentina. Still he is getting picked up all the time. Marchesin committed a horrible mistake which led to a goal against equador in friendly match. He was horrible in a match against Nigeria prior to the 2018 world cup. There are so many good players are playing in Argentina. For the betterment of future Argentina football scaloni should select fausto vera, Thiago almada, Christian Ferreira.

  20. Considering Aguero age and injury issue Icardi must be brought in the team, it will erase pressure from lautaro and he will get much needed competition. Also in crucial moment Icardi able to score wining goals, without any doubt Icardi is world class striker. Farmers like Alario and Simeone don’t deserve to wear Argentina shirt, Gaich also deserve to play minutes considering future perspect.

  21. I wish we get a world class defensive midfielder. Because brazil 5th choice Allan is better than our first choice paredes

    • In copa 2019 Paredes was choosen as best defensive midfielder of tournament leaving behind Brazilian no 1 defensive midfielder Casemiro.Just learn about football before saying anything stupid.

    • Allan is not a DM, he’s a b-2-b player and he’s a very different type of player to Paredes, also if you go back and watch the copa match and the friendly that followed, Paredes (along with Celso, De Paul and Acuna) clearly outplayed Brazil’s midfield and the media agrees with me largely.
      Brazil’s 2 DMs are Casemiro and Fabinho and both are fantastic but Argentina has Licha and Ascacibar who I think are fantastic and while they are not as good the aforementioned Brazil ones they are are more than capable of holding the midfield.

    Not included the squad.
    We must understand every coaching staff
    Have thier own preference yes I do believe
    They deserve to be in the squad ahead of
    Balerdi and foyth at this moment time.
    but we have to remember
    Those two players are part of the process
    A long with N. Perez and F. medina
    Example if I try to analysis those 4 defenders Are exactly the profile of what coaching staff Looking for. Foyth tall ball playing good pace can comfortably play three positions-
    Right cb right back holding midfielder.
    F. Medina good height good pace
    Comfortable with the ball
    can play two positions easily
    Left cb left back he has been soo good
    In his new club I have watched yesterday
    I really like what saw from him its too early
    To make judgement on him but so far so good really impressed with him
    I really like what scaloni and his coaching Staff are doing now hopefully great results will follow.

    • Yeah but not impressed with Balerdi inclusion. Scaloni is surely showing favouritism. There is a reason behind Licha and Romero’s exclusion,that is,licha is short and Romero is over aggresive tackler. But why the hell wasnt Senesi selected. Lets hope Scaloni fix these in future

  24. Some members are critizing Argentina league but there are many quality players in this league. I can see some of top clubs of Argentina can compete well in Champion league.

  25. Hope that Bielsa will consider bringing Fyoth and De Paul, ; although it would involve a big amount of money that Leeds can’t afford. Loan is the most practical choice at this pandemic; a lot of players have a trouble to find the right club in this season; dilemmatic between economic reason and pursue the career

  26. Braian Cuffre has moved to Mallorca. He waited to hear from Ajax, who had him as their first choice to replace Tagliafico.

    Maxi Romero has returned to PSV after loan at Velez. He scored his first ever PSV goal (hopefully not given as own goal) coming as a sub.
    He was a disaster last time at PSV, with injury, personal issues and weight problems. They paid a huge sum for him, he has a lot to prove.
    Wenger almost signed him when he was 15, but was injured for a few months and the interest faded.
    Matias Suarez (now with River) failed a medical when Wenger tried to sign him from Anderlecht.
    Biglia then captain of Anderlecht missed a chance to join Wenger’s Arsenal when the club pleaded him to stay another year and he obliged.
