Argentina vs. UAE on November 16 could change venues

Argentina will play the United Arab Emirates on November 16 in Abu Dhabi but the venue could be moved.

Only days prior to the start of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, the Argentina national team will play the United Arab Emirates in Abu Dhabi. According to TyC Sports, the venue could be moved to Doha.

The game could be taking place in Doha, Qatar. Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni would prefer that the team moves less with the AFA trying to get the game moved to Qatar.

    This season is more unpredictable than ever in terms of potential injuries. Our final squad composition may change by the time we kick off in Qatar.

    • I was going to say the same thing. It’s not uncommon for coaches to have vastly different favorites and one player can go from getting few minutes to becoming a core player because of a coach’s preference. Hope that will be the case here.

  3. Nico gonzalez needs to be fit for WC, his pace is needed.
    I m worried about his fitness……. I love this former argentinos junior guy…. I would even play him over di maria. His pace my god 😱 is deadly.
    However whatever scaloni thinks I will support him because in the end I want to see the trophy not my fav. Players playing.

    55 players? Man, I think the whole u20 squad would be in it too along with the likes of Roberto Pereyra, Gio Simeone, or Balerdi.

  5. It seemed that it was 7-8 months before the start of the WC just few months ago and now its 45 days……I really need to get a life but as always taking my vacation for another major ARGENTINA tournament in NOV instead of summer ………….let’s stay fit, happy and HEALTHY

  6. As per news Luis Campos the official sporting director of PSG has already offered Messi 1+1 contract extension. Messi himself is positive and will confirm after the world cup. PSG will try everything to keep Messi. PSG not only generated over €600 million in revenue due to Messi transfer, they also quadrupled Ligue 1 fan base. Qatari owners want PSG to be like Madrid,Barcelona or United and only Messi can generate such hype. Global media is covering PSG like never before. Also, Mbappe and Neymar fighting for glory will take a lot of load of Messi’s shoulder and will extend his career. Going back to Barcelona could be suicidal and at this age he can’t lift and drag them in both Laliga and Champions league. He is their greatest player ever and going back could tarnish that legendary status. Barcelona chapter is closed for good.

    • Spot on. I think juventus could be great option in future . If he goes to juventus and win seria a and Champions League it would be super…The way laporte and Barcelona treated him he should not consider return to Barcelona.

  7. Argentina will wear the Away Jersey for the first game because Saudia will play with their ‘white’ home Jersey. For the games against Mexico and Poland, we will wear the Home Jersey.

    Away Jersey surely looks good on our players but I’m not very happy with the Home Jersey this time around. This Home Jersey looks like a Real Sociedad or rather a Kilarmanock jersey… hate that 2 stripes behind which are close enough and thinner than the traditional albiceleste.

    But now since this is the reality, we will accept our team however it is… We just want Argentina and Lionel Messi to win this World Cup.

    Scaloni should keep a surprise factor of at least 2 fast paced, dribbling youngsters who can come on as substitutes and make a difference. Garnacho comes to my mind.

    Practice the penalty shootouts with players and goalkeepers as this will be crucial given all teams are tough and we’ll defenced from round of 16 onwards

    • 1st question where did you confirm this info about the jerseys?
      Secondly, so Scaloni must just go out of his way to pick Garnacho who is yet to play 90 mins for Man Utd in a competitive match must be picked as surprise? No man, the coaching staff is not so naive. The boy belongs to the future. Maradona and Messi were already imbalancing opponents at Garnacho’s age. I know as the WC approaches Mundo get very emotional and panicky. Let’s keep ourselves grounded.
